What his job is most definitely not: shitposting on twitter so he can be a pantomime villain the public can get angry at. If he hadn't so smugly and assuredly reiterated that game would release in 2015(as late as SEPTEMBER) and then did the same thing in 2016, the fanbase wouldn't be remotely as angry over the delays. Pissing people off is the EXACT opposite of what his job is supposed to be. his actions reflect on the company.

Atlus USA does the actual localizing. They would have known there was no way Persona 5 was going to be released in 2015 way before the delay was annoucned.

But even if there was uncertainty there: Hardin should have only said the things he did, if he was absolutely, 100% certain the game was pretty much finished. Like "we're getting ready to go gold"-finished.
