Well, crafting is the only way to get Witcher gear, so you'll want to do a bit of that. It's just that you don't need, say, 30 drowner brains or more than 10 of any dust. And they sell decently well, especially the dusts.
There's a weight limit, tied to Roach's saddlebags. Look around the inventory, nigga.
