Well, in my opinion, that you didn't ask for, overall Xcom2 is better than EU, sure the strategy layer is more dumbed down, but that's the only thing it does worse than EU. Everything else is better.
And either way, it's one thing to criticize the game(which has always been done in these threads) is an entirely different thing to shitpost for 8 hours about how it's unforgivably shit and everyone is wrong for having fun with it.
Well yeah, how else would I mess it up, just changed the previous campaign edition, previous campaign, and music selection.
I think I've make a mistake in every OP I've made.
Naw, he's actually telling the truth.
Robert Cook
>explain how the strategy layer is dumbed down and simple in the last thread >you're a shitposter >actually I completely agree it was dumbed down and simple but you're still a shitposter for disagreeing with me I wasn't the guy posting for 8 hours straight either for fucks sake, there were 91 unique IPs in that thread
Nolan Thomas
If you aren't that guy then why are you replying as if i was referencing you?
Chase King
Fuck if I know or remember got the sexy bastard from google
Nolan White
Because I was the guy at the end actually trying to have a discussion, I wasn't the guy calling everyone a cuck or shill.
Chase Lewis
Just don't pull this again and maybe you'll stand a chance next time. If there is a next time Literally the single moment everything went downhill.
Carter Nguyen
Woops meant to link this: People honestly did not know which arguments you were referring too.
>take cover next to a car >no indication of the car being on fire or anything >lol jk
how do I forget these simple things
Dominic Diaz
>Ello ello ello, whats been going on 'ere? autism.

Rule #1 of XCOM: car is not cover Rule #2 of XCOM: half cover is also not cover
Blake Adams
Every car is a useless exploding prop, anyway.
Nicholas Garcia
Turns out filling everything with elerium is a bad idea.
Tyler Wright
There are objectively three things missing in X2 that were in X1: 1)Shivs 2)Flying (floating doesn't count) 3)Rocket Launchers (Exo rocket is not the same)
You should be ensuring you have at least 2 or 3 turns spare on every timed mission. A car can only cover one guy anyway.
Cooper Baker
...
Jace Jackson
>You should be ensuring you have at least 2 or 3 turns spare on every timed mission. Well yes of course I should be playing the game in the optimal matter. However, this doesn't really speak to the subject.
Grayson Rivera
>EW >Take cover next to destroyed car >It blows up again
Michael Ross
How long do those "Blacksite data coordinate" missions last for? Can I suspend them for a, theoretically, infinite time?
Michael Butler
>Not planing missions so that you dash into the extract zone in your last turn
Landon Scott
I hate to say it but if you can't afford to wait one turn for cover to be safe you need to try and speed up.
Parker Flores
...
David Anderson
Some missions, like VIP rescue, are usually really tight on the clock though. You just don't know what kind of bullshit you're going to run into so the best bet is to go as fast as possible.
Joshua Ross
Blacksite or just ADVENT facilities? Either way the answer is always.
That has not been my experience. Often when I dash often as possible and blue move every turn while trying to clear pods I barely make it to evac in time.
I couldn't really imagine slowing down for a turn because unpredictable mishaps could lead to the entire squad being left behind. You telling me to play faster by playing slower then i already play.
Oliver Brooks
>EW >Three (3) thinmints right next to car >Throw two grenades to pop the car >Car blows up >Thinmen still at full hp
Then you're literally playing the game wrong(as Jake intended).
Ryder Bennett
>not using a mod that adjusts the timers so that you can only make it to the EVAC by dashing every soldier every turn
Kevin Hernandez
Depends on the rescue, ones where you start with the VIP are alright, ones where you don't are normally really tight.
For standard "kill all" Guerilla ops you should have at least a 3 turn buffer, pushing up next to something thats about to explode will simply slow you down. For straight to Evac missions you should also have the buffer, for pick up the VIP missions running tight is about right
True concealment is dumb, Advent know you're there.
Jaxson Gomez
Guys >kill an enemy pod >receive one extra turn on the timer ?????
>pushing up next to something thats about to explode Who said anything about that? The original user declared they took cover behind a car, and I am responding to the statement "never take cover behind a car." Its certainly something to consider, but perfect missions are often not a thing. I'm glad your missions run so smoothly.
But why
Isaac Turner
I would prefer EU/EW/LW style nodes you can hit to get more time, maybe a portable radar truck for evac timers or a network box for data data download ones.
I presume thats what you meant by slowing down, sure some missions will go tits up but you should still never take cover behind an in tact car.
Thomas Rivera
>True concealment is dumb, Advent know you're there.
I think it achieves the perfect balance between timers and not having timers, the other alternative i could think of is increasing the timers but that feels more like cheating to me.
Thomas King
>Wanting EW bomb missions back
Are you insane?
Matthew Green
If you're struggling with timers its the best mod to use as its the least cheaty one but its still dumb imho.
Samuel Watson
depends, is this dark event still in play?
Charles Long
>imho You're a ho?
Carson Smith
I liked bomb defusal missions unless it was the meat warehouse/rainy street map in LW, fuck that so hard, but ideally they'd just be one or two nodes rather than EW style where you have to hit most of the nodes
Noah Rogers
Dunno, never seen it myself.
Luke Taylor
Is there a way to set up a LAN game with a pirated copy of EW? I'm in the midst of installing it on the second computer now.
Isaac Ramirez
>the time didn't read it and tought it was the one that increases the cost of rookies >i ended with that one and vigilance (increased sight radius) i barely made it with half my squad
Cooper Baker
...
Brody Cooper
Or the London train map or the Mumbai train map or the graveyard map.
Gabriel Ortiz
source?
Jacob Roberts
Graveyard I could handle, the trainyard map was a pain
Nicholas Hughes
what is this?
Nicholas Gray
>Try to replay ew >Camera turns for ages
Hudson Barnes
I miss SHIVs
Isaiah Lee
My friend just drawn my OC Belinda with his OC Trash (yes, she's a zombie nurse).
Michael Cook
Is belinda the human Stun Lancer?
Ryder Mitchell
That is the gayest shit I've ever heard.
Lincoln Hall
Maybe
Luis Morris
My friend drew me a advent vs a zombie nurse. Guess he added a chainsaw too.
Jonathan Lewis
>170k players use capnbubs
I didn't even know there were that many copies sold.
David Jenkins
Keep up the good work user! We here at /xcg/ love your OC!
Jaxson Murphy
That's not the XCOM 2 version
Nicholas Gomez
My friend drew me a chainsword vs a chainsaw. Guess he added this gay xcom shit too.
Leo King
So, EW over LAN? Eh? No help?
Landon Barnes
Thank you! Also she have a relationships with a snek.
Michael Howard
Do you have more images of your excellent OC and art?
Adrian Jenkins
I have zero experience concerning this, LAN or pirate copy.
Benjamin Roberts
Yes of course
Jayden Phillips
What excellent art, could you continue supplying me
Charles Jones
Hm... well
Wyatt Ross
Is there any balanced Marathon-style mod out there? I tried a longer campaign one on the workshop but enemies progressed too slow, your main squad ended being gods without much effort on your part if you survived a few hours.
Preferably one that plays nice with A Better ADVENT and other enemy mods.
Blast from the past as thanks
Nolan Gomez
You talk like a fag and your shit's all retarded.
Wyatt Ross
These just get better, do you have the excellent character portrait and study and the one where your OC is lying on a bed with a viper?
