This game would be so much more enjoyable if I could play just control points or payload and not play koth.

I'm not sure the negatives for Mei make much sense. They depend on the player being. Like, canceling the wall early is someone anyone who isn't new should know. And as for range, I can battle snipers with her icicle attack, and block sniper's line of sight with the wall.
