Every fight is people strafing until someone loses their patience and attacks or one guy starts to throw daggers because he's too scared to take charge and be the aggressor.

going 50/50 with a sharp or heavy weapon wouldn't be worth it.

Buffs to Heavy and Sharp would mean less 40/40s and more 50/10(or min req for weaponused or 10(or min req for weapon used)/50s. or even 27/40 if using sharp infusion.

Not really when every single weapon has an obvious counter, there's literally no reason to stay outside the 40/40 meta anytime soon.

The thing is, you'd actually get more scaling for some weapons, while also keeping atop the metashittery with your 40/40 refined bullfuck. There's still no downside to your 40/40 except a little less stamina. And since you're a melee, you don't really need more than 2 ringslots, making it able to go even 60/60 with knight and hunter.

Is the Carthus Bloodring worth a slot for a SL119 dual-wielder? My defense without it is 149 for everything, 33.550 absorption for physical. With it on it drops to 23.582 absorption.

usually you get around 5 points worth of endurance, you can just lower endurance shuffle the bonus around either way if you don't need any more. The +1 ring is for sure going to be as good if not better than any +5statpoint ring, and hp multipliers are always nice.
