Some random, not even particularly famous or powerful hero with an axe to grind is summoned into Camelot by Solomon, and he/she proceeds to desperately struggle against each of the Round Table Knights, only barely scoring victory after victory with a lot of grit, careful tactics, and a bit of luck.

No grail wishes for superboosted forms, no Alter, just raw, hard battle.

Grails are kind of rare, it's pretty reasonable to just have them and QP be the cost.

Datamined values from early in the game's life had the costs be a grail and millions of QP. If memory serves it was like 50mil for a 4-star, and less for a 5-star.

Of course, it could be changed when they implement it.

Grails and a significant amount of QP seems quite a fair price, especially seeing as it is likely to only raise the level cap by ten (I really hope we get a new sprite, or even just new art given how long it has taken them to implement this) which probably will not be all that great for some servants.

I don't have that many rare cards, and only 1 quartz left so not likely to draw anything in the futre. So that's Lancer Alter, Medb, Shuten and Rama for the ones I've maxed in level. We're probably getting another grail with this event for the final reward after Ibaraki is beaten for a total of 6 quartz and a grail so I really may as well. I wont be able to afford it all with the qp costs anyway.

Some of the 3 and 3* would be absolutely fucking crazy with Lv100 stats. Can you imagine what Cu or Leonidas would be like?

It's not, actually. If that were the case, then there really is no reason for a 4-star Grail Ascension costing like 10x the QP as a 5-star. Uncapping the Servant to 100 regardless of rarity would put 4-stars at the perfect sweet spot between the amount of work that needs to go into them to level them to 100, and how much of a reward the bonus stats would be. Anything under that would require a ton of work to level, and 5-stars only have 10 levels to 100 for extra stats.
