better writing. I love new leaf but when compared to wild world, the villager interactions don't hold up. Why are cranky villagers not cranky? Why are snooties not snooty, why are lazies so much more boring? And most importantly, why did it deteriorate like that?

I really AC mobile is just a nerfed port of NL with micro-transactions, and they actually save the HHD features and other new stuff for the real NL successor.

I almost think there is an interview somewhere that explained why this happened was because the original GC was intended to get women (teenaged girls to moms, with college-age being the medium) into gaming. But then when kids started playing, there was a massive amount of complains about characters like Resetti and the snooty/cranky villagers being way too mean. Even normal character dialog with other personalities (from sad, to angry, etc.) was modified after the complaints, and then again after they persisted.

tl;dr - AC was originally made for an older audience, but Nintendo learned babies play and they cry over everything, so now everyone is nice so kids don't cry and Nintendo doesn't get frivolous lawsuits over "emotional trauma" or some shit.

Same reason Resetti got neutered. Kid friendly in today's world means absolutly nothing that could possibly be construed as rude or "problematic". So villagers in NL feel less like friends and more like mindless slaves that worship your every move.

Okay, what am I doing wrong? I have donated WAY more than 50 items to Blathers Museum, but there is nothing in my PWP about a Museum Shop, or a second floor, or a Cafe or anything... I THINK it's been 14+ days, is that the only thing I would be missing?

Aren't you supposed to move the clock forward one day at a time when you use that method? Each day you check to make sure no one's moving out.

I think that if you just set the date all the way forward when using that method, there's a chance someone will move out.
