make pistols not so shit while you're at it

second for eggsalt

Third for snakes

I can only promise that i will possibly think about maybe reconsidering such a thing.

Well right now the plan is to just make a cosmetic variant to the plasma weapons. Although i suppose that making a separate mod with different stats and stuff would be relatively simple.

yes

How many images are in your X(-)COM shitposting folder, /xcg/?

I have 945. Help me break 4 digits?

Literally how? Is every single one xcom or xcg related?

That's enoug for me.

Nope.jpg

STREAM DOWN

All the XCOM and Xenonauts concept art (and one magazine article someone kindly scanned one day), plenty of /xcg/ memes, too many /xcg/ screencaps, some porn, some art that seemed applicable. So yeah, I'd say it's all related. I've been here over a year.

Ok I guess that seems doable. Idk, if you have that much already I feel like anything I have you already got. Sounds like your looking for OC.

[Heavy Activity]

Newbie question:

I'm thinking of getting the Xcom2 Digital Deluxe, which from what I understand has all the DLC that has released, my question is; Can I deactivate the DLC and stuff like the Alien Lords will not spawn in normal games?

I want a vanilla run before diving into the DLCs

...

I was gone for 2 months ending about two weeks ago, so mainly looking for any OC or related art that might have cropped up during that time.

Are you Dessfoxx? If so, thanks for your archive. Helped me catch up.

Anyone have any requests?

MUH DIIIIIIIIIIICK

I love you, Titanfall user

This is Heresy.

Yes, for alien Hunters just don't do any of the related trigger missions and you will not deal with any of the content the mod adds.

Repent of your sins, change your ways.

Ya got me. I don't have anything in specific in mind, but if you have more Long War era stuff or before that's currently missing in the album that would be cool. I didn't start saving images rigorously until X2 was announced.
I'll go update the album with anything that cropped up in the past week, the newer stuff should be on the top

yay, I finally raided the temple ship on xcom after putting it off for a whole real life year, I had too much fun just killing random missions; plus I felt it's time to move on to xcom2.
I wish I could import my teams from xcom1 cause I have 50 fully lvled psi support class all fully geared to the teeth with stims, yes I am this autistic

>Repent of your sins, change your ways.

But I speak truth

>I have 50 fully lvled psi support class all fully geared to the teeth with stims, yes I am this autistic
That's pretty advanced autism, but good job regardless.

Keep it up man, excellent work.

So what's the benefit of experimental ammo other than AP? The others seem to be strictly worse.

>Yes, for alien Hunters just don't do any of the related trigger missions and you will not deal with any of the content the mod adds.

Ok great. I was worried that even after getting deactivated in the Steam options they would still be integrated into the game anyway.

Yeah, Gunslingers are just worthless.

Maybe if you could apply weapon mods...

>A̶i̶r̶ Space Game OP

>>Avatar Project timer again.

This is going to be quite a pain for Beagle in this campaign.

Does that takes into account the madness of DA?

I take drugs to become that autistic, congrats on being that way (presumably) naturally.

XCOM 2 was announced June 1ish, 2015, so I think I might have to do a more advanced diff to see what I have that you don't.

Honestly, the concept art might be the largest category that I have and I didn't see in your gallery.

Yes. I've looked through there and posted stuff a few times. I'd welcome someone else bearing the brain damage for a while.

Both incendiary and poisons add +1 damage to every shot in addition to the status effects. Burning means the unit can't melee or use special abilites, good vs. psi and melee (duh)
Poison is a 33% penalty to mobility and aim.
Talon rounds add crit chance and damage, very powerful on rangers with 100% crit.
Bluescreen rounds are excellent against nearly every late-game enemy (sectopods, adromodon suit, Gatekeepers, Codexi, MECH V3) as they deal a large amount of bonus damage and lower mechanical unit hack resistance.
Tracer rounds are aim which is always good.

I'd say talon rounds for rangers, AP rounds for snipers, bluescreen rounds for late game gunslingers, Tracer rounds for guardian specialists or AP if your confident they will hit their shots. Tracer rounds for gunners so they can hit their chainshots, or just shots in general for armor shred. That's just my opinion.

Keep digging DA user, I pick up some of them so I appreciate it.

>bluescreen rounds for late game gunslingers

lolwut

I can post some shit that is older than XCOM2 that may have been reposted since then though.

We have separate links for concept art in the mandatory reading OP so I haven't been including them in the imgur album.

Those might need to be updated/add new ones.

Do you enjoy oneshotting all lategame enemies? Honestly though AP is a perfectly good choice too, more flexible, I just enjoy one shotting sectopods.

That snek shouldn't be blue. What are you trying to pull here?

but how does a gunslinger one shot them? Even with bluescreen rounds pistols are lol

>>I'd welcome someone else bearing the brain damage for a while.

I have been posting DA stuff for a while too so I know that pain.

At the very least some of the stuff there is decent.

Eh? I don't see it. Only your dump, the high-res POI XCOM 2 gallery, and the waifufagging pasta.

Jesus christ.

>beagle wants the option to surrender to aliens

Shooting six times in a single turn. Vs. a unit where bluescreen applies assuming 100% accuracy (actually pretty reasonable late game).

All minimum damage rolls=48 before armor
All maximum damage rolls=66 before armor
Bluescreen ignore armor, so even if all the base damage was ignored by armor, you'd still get at least 30 damage. Combine this with any armor shredding.

This does not include crits.

Oh woops I misread, your right currently the concept art is not included.

You go in expecting cuddles and get prehensilesnake cock DP instead

How are you getting 6? Normal shot, lightning hands, and fan fire is only 5

Doesn't he already has it? He used it in the previous stream.

I refuse to have my cuddles be cucked by you too, Tranny King.

If I want to use two mods together, and they both alter the same thing to an extent, can I set it up in the mod launcher such that that happens?

Looking at the "Ranger/Sword Rebalance" mod and either the "Swords over Shotguns" mod or the "Balanced Ranger Sword" mod

Yeah your right mb it should be 5 shots.
so 40-55 dmg.

Sounds like a pleasant surprise.

There's also this guide that kept getting asked for.

The author made one for the MEC classes, but didn't get any feedback and got discouraged, so didn't really continue it...

...

Actually, if I remember correctly if you don't activate the dlc they will randomly show up in your campaign. Very counter-intuitive. At least I thought I heard that, at least not doing the trigger missions is 100% guaranteed to keep them out.

You're not getting cucked
You're getting fucked

Can someone give me a link to the mod launcher? Accidentally deleted it and can't find it again.

Dat beagle rektage

tbqhwyf the worst beagle streams are when he steamrolls with long hours of downtime between and that's been the majority of his XCOM 2 coverage

the blacksite yesterday and terror mission today were fun because it felt like there were actual stakes

>that sound of the EU/EW LMG

>Actually, if I remember correctly if you don't activate the dlc they will randomly show up in your campaign.

Well shit.

Infantry seem OP

I can't believe he actually pulled it off.

The Avatar timer remains a serious problem for this campaign.

I wish we had cavalrymen in XCOM

It's not on nexus or skymods.

Sacrificing the inability to take cover for Ranger's sword attack and mobility that would make a stun lancer look like a total snail?

They are a bit, but if you're playing with redic difficulty odds to begin with, they are a lifesaver.

>playing xenonauts I/I
>campaign going very well, no squad wipes minimal casualties
>get to my second downed corvette
>caesans everywhere
>first casualty is a rookie shield carrier with jackal armour/60+ health
>eats 3/4 of the plasma shots from a caesan burst fire/snap shot combo through two layers of cover
>second casualty is a guy who ate a reaction shot through a window from a caesan in the fog of war on his last move
>third casualty is a guy who gets hit by a caesan
>completely out of range from my being able to see him on the first shot
>fourth casualty is a guy who eats it through two layers of 50% cover on the first shot through 70 hp and pristine jackal armour

I fucking hate caesans more than anything else in this god damn fucking game

You're telling me these fuckers can see farther than my guys? Because not only does that not make any sense in any capacity, it's retarded as all fucking hell. Fuck this game

Avatar timer? Is he running a mod that makes it more than a joke?

Thanks.

Interestingly, it's still got all my old mods and categories and stuff, and also doesn't seem to want to update to include mods I subscribed to while it was deleted.

How can I force it to update my subscribed mods?

Which Infantry class is he using? There are like 12

Did the modder who was working on porting SHIVs to XCOM ever resurface or did he disappear from the internet ?

He went cuckoo and vanished

>get a viper from the playable advent mod
>skill poison spit because free poison grenades sounds op
>it doesnt actually do anything, probably a bug
>use AWC to respec into the other ability
>suddenly have 0 mobility, have to yellow-move to move a single tile
>still the melty head bug
the cheaters life aint easy

Well if you want it to call it like that he is running the latest 'mod' that makes the final timer to never reset.

>playable advent

literally why

I think they look cool and have fun gimmicks.

>Interestingly, it's still got all my old mods and categories and stuff, and also doesn't seem to want to update to include mods I subscribed to while it was deleted.
>How can I force it to update my subscribed mods?

Can someone help please? I've been grappling with a similar issue for a couple of weeks now and nobody has answered any of my posts. And now someone is having a similar issue.

Get the sassy viper mod too.

Wasn't that made baseline with Alien Hunters

Exactly.

It was.

Me no know for sure - I would jus delete everything including the files in your docs folder and reinstall if you cant get a more direct response. That will 100% do it but not really the ideal solution obviously.

might want to check on the reddit for xcom mods

>reddit.com/r/xcom2mods/comments/4ak5cv/alternative_mod_launcher/

>I would jus delete everything including the files in your docs folder and reinstall

You mean delete all the mod files? Or a file for the launcher itself?

Not mine

I just tried it and it didn't work. I deleted the installer and reinstalled from my of it, didn't work.

Deleted the installer, redownloaded from github, mod loader refreshed (i.e. all categories gone, etc) but the number of mods is not right. So I'm guessing either Steam is fucking up somehow, or your source folders are missing somehow.

This explanation may not be technically accurate, because as far as I am concerned computers are a box of black magic that you can sometimes peer into.

Well I am not using Steam Workshop. (Because broke and running on a potato computer supposedly below minimum specs, and waiting for game to be complete - pretty much what I did before I bought CiV and XCOM EW - pirate then buy when able...aka reasons.)

So truthfully I may not be really qualified to answer, but it sounds like the steam mods are auto updating? I know that there are people who dislike the workshop for that reason alone.

If all of the ADVENT grunts looked as handsome as Dio, however, would they even need to wear the helmets?

For that matter, why didn't ADVENT try for super charismatic soldiers? Seems like it would've helped them on the PR front a lot more in the long haul.

steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=632648555

I believe.

Yeah, that's a good one. They aren't OP at all IMO, just a solid complement to the rest of the squad.

Beg to differ they are OP with just light em up. That shit is a game changer I always run with 2 in the squad if I can. Its like having an extra soldier at our disposal at all times.

I am playing with fatigue, notoriety, increased enemies, all pods active, and call reinforcements tho also some additional enemy types like the advent snipers and priests mods. Also other lil difficulty increases as well. I am waiting for ABA to unfuck itself on a few issues the author is fixing. (Supposedly a new build this Sunday) then will sub to that too so I don't really feel guilty. I need the extra firepower.

I went and checked C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500 and they're missing there. So for whatever reason Steam is fucking up. Can't help beyond that.

Anyone know why/when Steam refuses to download subscribed files?

I believe you can force it to update no?

How?

Possible solutions:
Run the game from Steam client by clicking on the Play button (not from a shortcut nor directly from an executable).
Exit Steam and run as a regular user (instead of running it as an administrator).
Run the game or the Launcher from a shortcut or from an executable as an administrator.
Restart Steam.
Restart the computer.

i.imgur.com/BtCdAud.jpg

i have seen that when beags is gearing up for a mission the game doesnt autofill the squad
how can i make it do the same?

>SiegmeyerOfXCOM.jpg

I find it incredibly annoying that the X-COM Squad SPIE rigs out of the extract zone while just holding on to a rope.

I mean I know there is plenty of other shit that I am suspending disbelief about already but that just drives me batty.

What are your pet peeves?

Not bad.

>SPIE rig

If they had actually animated that in, the insertions and extractions would look way better.
