I'm happy with my AromaBackup but I'm kind of curious now.

Just out of curiosity: Do you guys and grills have a sort of 'signature build'? A certain structure or style you build everytime you join a server or start up a new world. Or do you try something completely new everytime?

I think so.
Structure, no; style, yes. I love deserts or alpine mountains, and will pile up / carve out residences in the ones I find. I tend to stay underground so I can focus on making it look nice from only the inside, but I can make decent outsides as well. I tend to stick to odd numbers (3x3, 5x5, 7x7, 9x9) for rooms; I'll try to make the number divisible by 3 though, so I can make regular "grids" throughout my corridors.
I like to build these churches whenever I'm on a server.

Its one of the only decent "progression" mods out for 1.9.4 and Thaumcraft 1.9. seems a way off

Proper config means rewriting the mod so that it crashes your game any time you try to build a crossbow.
The thing I don't get about people criticizing TiCon are the ones who bitch about hammers being MAWPC. I mean I could understand if quarries didn't exist. Even an upgraded excavation wand focus is kind of similar, just gives less precision.

The closest thing I've seen is people complain that TiCon tools make every other tool ever completely useless, as well as literally everything about enchanting, which are both legitimate complaints.
Not really. Vanilla enchanting mechanics are godawful, especially in 1.7.10. At least they added some baseline quality of life in 1.8.

Yes, you should. Biome mods, especially ones that introduce more blocks, are very bloaty, and if you're stressed for resources they should be one of the first things you cut out of your pack.

I've recently started playing Minecraft and I have a question.
I came upon my first Redstone newly and decided to make a map. Which is cool. However the map was tiny and needs to be expanded. Which is less cool.
I surrounded the Map with Paper on my Crafting Table, but it just produces a Map with a red "0" on it that I can't drag off the result-square.
Am I doing something wrong?
