People keep saying this for everything PvE in the game. The difference isn't significant between melee and ranged. At most, you have to figure out 2 or 3 more attacks compared to ranged, but you have many more iframes to deal with it.

Except in ssp iframes won't do shit since you need both perfect ping and reactions to dodge the near-instant attacks

SSP? you gotta be joking. bosses deal a fuck ton of damage and in all that mess of people and lag you need extremely good reactions, shit dies so fast that if you straggle around to wait for healing you lose you kill credit while chasing fucking charging, stunning, knockbacking pigs.

SSP is a bit different. Melee are completely fucked there during peak hours.You just have to farm when everyone else is asleep.

PvE is the same though. Sure, FM does more dps for less effort, but it's been like that since release. It's not like you don't know what you're getting yourself into. Most melee players pick melee for the difficulty, and then complain when it's difficult.
