How do you keep yourself from getting angry while playing this game?
Call me try hard or whatever but when I queue for a ranked match I really do try my best...and when I make a mistake I get frustrated, sure, that I can deal with and move on - but when team mates start flaming I just get furious and enraged.
It won't even matter if the game starts turning and we end up winning, that initial rage just ruins the experience entirely. I don't enjoy playing after that. And of course it starts effecting my game play and more often than not I start making more mistakes...its like a snowballing pile of shit and misery to get angry.
How do you all deal with this issue? I can't be the only one that has thought about dota-induced rage. It's seriously ruining my time with this game. I want to play the game and have a satisfying experience - its not even about winning or losing. You can have a great game and still end up losing.
Because of that I am seriously considering just muting everyone in my games at the start. Yeah communication will suck but surely it won't be as bad as what anger can do. I play around 3.2k mmr anyway so its not like games are won and lost based on solid communication. Having chat on is just a source of misery.

Do you think Backdoor protection should be per lane? As in, if a team is strong enough to solo a tier 3 even though your minions are pushing to their tier 3 in that lane, backdoor protection goes down so long as there's a single minion in your base.
Is this a fair mechanic that justly punishes teams without buyback or ends a game that assuredly would end sooner rather than later because this team is strong enough to do so and is then probably much stronger than the other team is? Or is it annoying and unfun to see a team delete a tower in .3 seconds because they have a desolator clinkz and AC?
