With Carbines it's easy, since i can relocate while using allies as meat shield, but with shotguns i need to get where all the enemies are and after i kill one or two, there's always that one that spots me

You can see the coils on some guns (Mercenary for example), and batteries are the part of the magazine.
The difference between coil gun and a rail gun isn't that big, both require very high amperage, and incredibly strong materials.
Remember, we are 800 into the future, so the technology is far more advanced (except for terrans that still use gunpowder, and a tank with the most retarded turret placement ever made)
Equip slugs, aim better and snipe people from the roof. It's the only enjoyable way of using shotguns in this game.

not to mention it would introduce another potential point of failure, every time you reload there's a small chance that the battery is borked or something, whereas having a more powerful battery on the gun itself wouldn't present this problem
however, it would be practical on carbines and SMGs, since you'd want them to be light.

Fury is nice to have for MAX's and blobs. It just gives utility. Yeah, dual fury is definitely shit unless you're in a coordinated squad though.

It's extremely efficient. You don't have to worry about charging your gun, losing power midfight or battery wear out. Every magazine comes with just enough power to fire all rounds.

Nanites can construct nearly anything. Due to the fast reload speed of some NC guns, I assumed that they just remove the mag and nanites construct more boolets into the same mag before reinserting. Its likely that the battery could be in the mag or in the gun
Its also notable that the gun needs cocked on long reloads, so it could be that they are standard powder charges with a magnetoaccelerated boolet.
