I believe that one of the merchants outside of Londo sells them. They also drop extremely frequently from ghosts so if you just kill every one you encounter as you move through, you'll always have enough to keep trying. Every 3rd ghost kill or so will drop 2 of them.

You know the stomp has enough recovery that you can never HA a hit with it and still have time to punish, right?

Stomp has two functions: giving your opponent a free hit with no retaliation, and telegraphing that you're about to empty your entire stamina bar and offer a free backstab by performing a slow and worthless attack that does less damage than an R1R1 combo.

Even something slow as hell like another UGS or greathammer can R1 into your stomp and roll out before any possible retaliation.

I think lighting dragons slayers axe might be good but raw might just be better anyway even without a buff.

Because they practically never get summoned and so have no practice in PvP. Also they're probably in full PvE getup when they finally get the call and either have to furiously scramble to put on something appropriate or just plain forget about it.

Sharp will never beat refined in damage save for 1 or 2 weapons that have abnormal interactions with one infusion or another.

Not possible. Outside stuff like the Exiled Greatsword and a few outliers, 40/40 Refined will always have the highest AR.

The game is shorter and more linear than other souls games, so there isn't as much replayability. The poor state of multiplayer on release (terrible balance, magic dead, matchmaking not working, covenants broken, etc.) turned a lot of people away and there was this big backlash., Even a lot of the e-celebs from the previous two games turned their back on it saying shit like the pvp wasn't worth putting time into.

Maybe it'll revive a little when the dlc releases, assuming they've fixed some of those issues by then.

Not trying to beat it, I know it's not possible for several reasons. Just trying to keep it "competitive". Maybe try to get something into the 500 AR range. I'm pretty sure I'm over 400 on a +8 sharp carthus shotel or atleast close at 40 dex +milk ring. At 52dex plus hunter and milk a +10 sharp would have to be over 500 at a total of 60 dex

There was an interview shortly before DaS3's release where Miyazaki came out and said that, while they'd like to do another AC game, there just isn't the top-level support for that franchise anymore, and odds of it continuing are close to 0 unless the fans came forward and made it possible (eg. unless it was crowdfunded).

Basically, their existing sponsors don't support AC and they can't find anyone who will, since AC games rarely break even and aren't worth funding. After VD flopped hard, nobody wants to touch the series.

NG+ level ranges are what's basically dead. for NG there'll still be plenty of people to interact with
