Yeah, I'm usually one that enjoys autism grinding too, so I thought this game would be perfect for me. The combination of joining late and the shitty reward system just makes me want to die.

I took a one month break in may. Now they fixed witch earring drop rate. Grinding far spread monsters for days to get a chance of 2 ap. Game is fun.

I put a few thousand hours into Diablo2. I've got ~800 hours in Dark Souls 1.

Pushing 1.5k hours in BDO currently.

The issue with this game's grind is that it's a double-hitter of grind + fuckyoukorean rng.

If it was just grind for a guaranteed result, it'd be just fine. If it was just rng with a shitload of drops, it'd be fine too.

But it's a ton of grind with a ton of rng involved.

I've got abandoned monastery at level 9, every shadow knight is S-rank knowledge. I've got 8 luck just in case the character sheet lies about 5 being the cap.

I've been down there for 20 hours so far this week and haven't gotten a SINGLE FUCKING MARK drop.

That's just soul crushing.

Server is the only thing that matters, you can freely swap between channels with any of your characters every 15 minutes.

I want a game that actually gets Hardcore right. Nothing gives me a fear/adrenaline boner like dropping to 5% HP in a pack of monsters, only to come out just barely on top.

terribly grindy game, and a terrible game in retrospect, but godDAMN the first ~6 months was some of the most intense MMO play I've ever experienced

I just want an MMO with the economy, industry, territory control and full-loot systems of EVE, a fantasy setting, and controls/combat mechanics like dark souls

The grind x mobs are by far the easiest and most plentiful titles to farm. Gets you some extra energy if you're missing knowledge on them, too.

Default faces were quite fine, just edited like 4 parts and masked that shit up and I was good.

talking to all npcs of (type) in (region) is really easy too, and quicker than killing thousands of random fucking mobs, some of which spawn in low numbers

well, black desert isn't like that at all, it's not tab targeting, knowing your combos matter and knowing what each skill can and cannot do, animation cancels, etc, is very important

I have a lot of those done, I have balenos and serendia. Calpheon is a lot harder, and don't get me started on knowledge that you need but can only be obtained through amity except the dude you need to do the amity game with is impossible to gain amity from so the only solution is to wave at him which rapes my energy.

Yeah, but how do you even make the game compelling to play past the end game in that system? The Souls games don't have any skills or attributes, so the combat gets repetitive after a while. I played the first 2 games and already got bored of the combat style. The AI is too easy to manipulate once you learn their patterns, they only have a few animations, 2-3 for melee range, 1 for medium range, and 2-3 for long range, and you can always force them to do those animations by standing at the certain ranges. For an MMO you'd need to make an insane number of animations if you wanted to do the same thing for monsters, it's just completely impracticle for something players will learn to manipulate and get bored of anyway.

I restored the games default .paz files one time and it was just the regular valk with height and body type sliders set to max, I assume that's what everyone else sees. It is strange though that everytime I'm in the character select menu, it shows up at first with the default valk body.
