Hero or villain?

Hero or villain?

A hero, ultimately.

villain. horrible corruption, lifes, mass murder, oppression. the popular support he had was because the public weren't aware of the things he was actually doing. the reichstag fire, the night of the long knives, the eventual genocide. it was all corruption and manipulation and lies, and that makes him a villain.

It really depends man.
I mean think about it that Hitler was a pretty evil guy
and he also killed 6 million jewish people
so he had to be pretty evil also he started world war 2.

a man who did nothing wrong

Hero

Give it a hundred more years or so when people still personally affected by the war are long since dead and he will most likely be viewed along the lines of Napoleon; an ambitious conqueror that turned a war-torn, impoverished nation into a superpower very quickly and then proceeded to steamroll his way through Europe, north Africa, and chunks of Eurasia.

Though history is written by the victorious, perspective will change as people view the war more objectively and less emotionally. He will still be remembered as a tyrant, most likely, as most great conquerors in history usually are very authoritarian.

It also depends on the future political climate.

Pic related, it's Kublai Khan, grandson of Genghis Khan, who is likewise remembered as a conqueror, tyrant, but also a man who vastly improved the state of civilization within his domain

Hero

Neither

Hero. If you think he's a villain, then you have fallen for ally propaganda.

...

Behold!
Bait of the lowest quality.
Let us not be without our daily Hitler shitpost.
Daily!
Same question every day.
He was a Meth Head.

>then you have fallen for ally propaganda.
top kek
Source?

>Hero or villain?
To whom?

>Source?
JFK's diary during his visit to Berlin

It's actually a fake quote.

Directly responsible for the decline of European civilization and the deaths of millions of white people.

>directly

kek. Surely muh Treaty of Versailles had nothing to do with that. I wonder who was behind it.

No one in history has ever been a hero or villain.

We're all terrible selfish assholes that sometimes do something for the good of humanity but then go back to our terrible selfish asshole selves.

After he betrayed his master and left the academy he became pretty evil

you know that treaty is the consequence of previous WW, Germany is degenerate
.

>turned a war-torn, impoverished nation
I wonder why this meme is so popular. Veeky Forums knows surprisingly little about the history of Weimar Republic.

>labeling historical facts as a meme

summer fags

The treaty of Versailles' effect on the German economy was notably diminished by 1933, since reparations had been renegotiated several times.

And if Germany wouldn't have been such cunts during the Treaty of Frankfurt a few decades earlier, France wouldn't have pushed for just as harsh terms during Versailles.

It's not a historical fact. By 1928 Germany was already one of the most powerful countries in Europe.

>read this thread
>people still think Veeky Forums hasn't been ruined by /pol/, summerfags, and edgy teenagers
>people actually think Veeky Forums gets any measurable traffic from Reddit and Tumblr and spew hate about muh leftists
Fuck all of you you, I'm going someplace where adults can talk about history and the humanities

>since reparations had been renegotiated several times.
cancelled, in fact, before Hitler took over

Kek are you TRIGGERED cuck cuck jew cuck jew? :^)

For you
AH HAHAAHAHAHAHA

Agreed. I like my my share of nigger-hating and WE WUZ memeing, but I'd really like that to stay on

An hero

Hitler was a typical /pol/fag.

>after passing a repeat of the final exam, Hitler left the school without any ambitions for further education or clear plans for a career.
>From 1905, Hitler lived a bohemian life in Vienna, financed by orphan's benefits and support from his mother.

Except Hitler had a really high IQ

'Hero' or 'villain' is a pointless question. It is not necessary judge Hitler by moral standards. Disgust for the Nazi crimes does not factor into the final evaluation. Hitler must be measured by the only standard relevant for a nation's leader: Did he increase its fortunes or not? So let's take a look:

>German cities in smoking ruins, hundreds of thousands of civilians dead, factories and industry burned to rubble
>German soldiers dead across half of Europe; millions of young men - future workers, teachers, scientists - thrown away in an unwinnable war
>Uncounted German girls and women raped by supposed subhumans
>German nationals in Eastern Europe, with a history of settlement going back up to a thousand years, robbed of their homes and turned fugitives
>The German state occupied, its sovereignty restricted and indefinitely divided
>Half of Germany in the hand of communists who set its economic development back two generations
>The elite of German science either fled from persecution or 'recruited' by the allies
>Thousands of your own lawyers, doctors, shopkeepers and decorated war veterans murdered because of a religion they hardly even believed in anymore

So there you have it. Hitler's final balance sheet reveals a failure unparalleled in human history. Before he is a villain to the Jews, or to the Russians, or to the whole world, he is an unmitigated disaster for Germany.

Villain.
To paraphrase Spengler, Germany needed a hero, not a heroic tenor.
And that's what Hitler was, pure appearance for the masses. In reality, he was rash, uninformed, power-hungry, delusional, depraved, and later a drug addict.
Hitler and Nazis crippled Europe hard.

>29,500% currency inflation
>so utterly and completely fucked you can't do anything but abandon your currency
>twice

Sure looked stable

> Death by suicide
Can you name Hero, who killed himself in the end of their story? Not to stop an enemy or some kind of sacrifice but just in pathetic last act of suicide?

...

What could Hitler do to not fuck up from the left guy point of view?

Right, because Weimar Republic didn't exist between 1924 and 1933. There was hyperinflation and immediately after that Hitler and NSDAP, right?

Could someone give me a quick summary, or a link to something that gives me a summary of his "struggle", and his life after WW1?

Wikipedia isn't really helpful.

Be an artist or kill himself

So... he technically... didn't fuck up?

If Hitler had simply served his terms as an ordinary, democratic politician, and not attempted to assume dictatorial powers so he could go on a mad conquest of Europe and create a totalitarian state, he'd be a hero.

Anyone? Please?

Neither, obviously.

Napoleon was right though. Hitler wasn't.

Not systematically kill political opponents, Jews and other deviants.

>the man who started a war that killed tens of millions of europeans and caused the importing of non-europeans to europe by the millions
>the man who started a war that caused europe to lose it's grip on the world
A villain.

He's a fucking hero, without a doubt. He went from being homeless to becoming the most controversial figure in human history. He fought for a better world, without degeneracy. If America hadn't intervened, he would have absolutely crushed the Communists (who wouldn't have won without lend lease, deal with it commieboos)
Germany is cucked to oblivion today, but it won't last. The next great conqueror in Europe will make Adolf Hitler look like a pussy.

>he also killed 6 million jewish people
Is that number actually accurate?

5.8 million is more accurate.

subject to opinion based of political bias but overall most people would consider him a villain

also bait >>/pol/

>perspective

the real question is patsy or mastermind

How was that number established?

It's possible that it's lower than commonly believed but certainly not as low as /pol/ would like to you to believe. The Holocaust definitely happened and it's not as if the Nazis denied what they were doing.

He was good for Germany through the 30s, but the failed conquest of Europe and a genocide ruined that.

>b-b-but Churchill declared war and didn't accept Hitler's peace treaties!
>Munich Agreement? Molotov-Ribbentrop? What are those?

basically just dont go to war against the world or at least dont conduct that war in such a brutal senseless fashion

Villain. There may be 2 people on this site that understand and desire what his rule was like. The rest of the wannabe right wing facists would be miserable little bitches living in the Third Reich.

Villain....What kind of dumbass question is that? Even people who are the biggest Eurocentrics in the world can freely admit he is a villain.

>1914
>The three strongest armies in human history (Germany, France, Britain) destroying their own empires and killing their own people by the millions
>1918
>all Europe's empires are permanently destroyed
>European hegemony will never return
>millions of whites dead
>for no reason
>everyone in Europe agrees that it was so bad, they shouldn't do it any more

>idiot decides to try it again in the 1930s

He was the biggest fuck up in human history. Fuck Hitler. Fuck him.

Neither, he was just a dumb cunt.
