Yeah I'll be going through and fixing shit soon again. I was running on four hours of sleep for the past two or three days and crashed pretty early.
Not yet though I'll try to have that finished within a few hours. Also going to repeat this for everyone: WS is only released for testing. Do not use it if you want something complete and polished, that's still a ways away from happening - its best to stay with AO3 or STCOP for a while as they are clearly finished.
Hunter Peterson
Anybody know where to find the files that define what items AI stalkers have in their inventory? Alternatively, what file sets the weight of how many stalkers will spawn of a given experience level? I'd like to make some tweaks.

how do reply?¿
Wyatt Clark
Great, thank you. This appears to be what I'm looking for.
To reword the second question, "How can I change the probability that when an AI stalker spawns, that stalker will have a specific level of experience (rookie, professional, etc)" So, for example, I could make rookie stalkers extremely common.
I think the answer to that question is in the file you led me to, but I'll have to take some time to parse it.

So I played through SoC all the way and played CS until the contant crashes made me uninstall I've been playing with AMK for the first time and have never seen something so ridiculous I've been trying to kill an Electro-Chimera and it seems beefy to the point of being glitched Shooting at the sides and back of the chimera it tanked literally 200 5.46x39 BP rounds I know AP does less damage to unarmored things, but I didn't want to waste my standard FMJ, then about 50 FMJ rounds, until I finally killed it with about 20 9x18 FMJ rounds to the face(s) Was something up with that? I had to quicksave after every magazine as XRAY kept crashing every 2-3 mags Even a fucking Pseudogiant went down at least 3 times as fast as this fucker
Michael Rogers
didn't mean to reply to anybody in particular with this, must have missed the link
Jacob Walker
Play AMK:AE 1.4.1.
Cooper King
Does damage even get saved if you reload?
Cameron Baker
that's what I'm using, although I got it from the Mod Repository in the OP, which has that disclaimer about probably being out of date
Caleb Davis
That's the one I'm using and I haven't had trouble with chimeras, electro or not.
Brandon Reyes
It's literally the same thing on moddb.

Is it bad that I thought this was CS with some mods until I noticed the CW 2.0 fire selection text?

Kinda Especially since that map looks like absolute shit lightningwise, which is one of Stalkers best points in my opinion

I was just having a hell of a time with an ironman run from Cordon to the Wish Granter. I had to take a detour around the Army Warehouses due to a persistent and intractable crash. I was making my way past the Brain Scorcher when a zombie 1-shot me from about 100m out. Fuck this planet.
That said, ironman really does change how you play the game. I have to recommend it, even if it can be terrible bullshit.
Ethan Gray
I completed vanilla SoC today. Took me a few days. Anyway, I was lurking /sg/ for some time whilst playing and I noticed that you guys think CS is the worst game of Stalker trilogy. How so? I started it, noticed the faction wars and it looked pretty neat.
Joshua Lee
Bugs out the ass, even poorer gunplay, the shitty implementation of the faction wars mechanic.
Charles Lopez
It's not bad if you use the SRP+AO merge It's just not as polished as CoP nor as atmospheric and interesting as SHoC, making it the weakest in the series It's still an enjoyable entry
Camden Martin

Ironman on this game seems like an exercise in frustration, honestly
Adam Bell
>be bandit >get a loaf of bread as a suppressor
Jonathan Rogers
It could be a good mechanic if it wasn't for the fact that it just ends up you doing all the work and waiting for feckless squads to plod across the map to "secure" a location, and even then never really win.
Keep your eyes off of it for too long and it'll always push towards being an even level of territory owned.
Brandon Clark
I'm considering taking down the WS prerelease. Not aimed at you but there are a lot of retards here who seem to lack any reading comprehension. Would be better to just wait and release it when its 100% finished instead of having people make judgments based on a pre-release.
To be really honest, I wouldn't have put it out here in the first place. I'd have rather gathered a few guys from Skype (doesn't really matter who they might be) and let them do a slightly more formal playtesting. The choice here is yours, though. And by the way, I really hope I'm not getting on your nerves. I want to help and this is the very least I can do, and you seem to be okay with it.
Cooper Watson
Yeah I'm probably not going to.
What, people judging it prematurely?
Nah you and others reporting bugs have been a huge help, which is the biggest reason I DON'T want to remove it.
Zachary Kelly
I just got a crash when talking to a trader in the army warehouses. I'm using warfare and it was a merc trader. The game crashed immediately upon clicking F, rather than upon hitting 'trade'.

Christian Rogers
If you say so, man. Just take it easy.
Easton Torres
I'll probably post a patch for the pkm, those shells, alignment with the m16a3 and aug a3, and icons hopefully before I leave for work. Also going to get the debug spawner set up.
Zachary Gutierrez
Any chance you could throw a knife fix in there too?
Anthony Nguyen
I'll take a look at it. Sounds like it may be more warfare related but who knows, I'll see what I can figure out.
Oh, yeah, actually I'll get that to work now. Just started a new game in coc for testing some stuff.
Logan Rodriguez
Alright. Glock 21's mag capacity is incorrect, I'm guessing you accidentally gave it the Glock 17's capacity (21 is supposed to have 13 in the mag, has 17); Fort-12's suppressor model has no texture and its HUD icon looks goofy like in pic related. UMP-45's textures look rather low-res as well.
Justin Evans
With CoC/Warfare, are factions really supposed to capture shit faster than you can keep up?
In just about under an hour from new game start which I had to spend to get a decent shooter the my Monolith faction had captured all of Pripyat and Jupiter.
Cooper Cook
depends on your settings monolith in particular will capture jupiter very quickly if you don't have register squads turned on
Lucas Barnes
Check out the options menu
William Hall
NPCs seem to run out of ammo completely and then they just run around in circles. Pretty funny but probably not intended.
Adam Ross
you are prolly aware of this and i dont know if it can be fixed but partial reloads for the FNP i.e still have the sound of the slide releasing, iirc OWR3 didnt have that. also, any plans for partial rifle reloads?
Parker Lee
Ignore them, these are the same turbovirgins that will complain about you taking too long to release it in that case. It's a reality of this site, gotta learn to think of them as animals growling at you in a zoo.
That said, really enjoying WS so far, even in its unfinished state. The weapons that do work are super well implemented and I look forward to using the finished product in future playthroughs. Thanks for the time and effort.
Cooper Morris
Now this looks like a quality mod
Joseph Perez
Are those... Sidorovitch clones?
Asher Thomas
I modified Barkeeps inventory (bar_visitors_barman_stalker_trader.ltx) but now it wont work anymore on 1.3.20. Are CoC's trader files handled differently or something?
Justin Clark
It is a mystery
Jaxon Turner
havent played SoC in a while and I'm just replaying it now with ZoA how do you trigger the mission for the psi helmet? I escorted kruglov to the ecologist base but all I can say to him is See You! and Sakharov has nothing on it
Owen Brooks
is the mod any good?
Ryan Stewart
Yeah it's a masterpiece obviously
Jeremiah Fisher
Double down on it; leave in an "extra" suppressor item that is literally bread. Let the no fun allowed fags cry impotent tears.
Jaxon Lewis
wait, turns out you need to go to some bandit base in the dark valley and get a key for sakharov the brain scorcher's giving me a headache, now thats what I call immersion
Ethan Peterson
>point out something that's straight up broken >no fun allowed fags Epic.
Connor Rodriguez
He outright told everyone the release was going to be a turbofucked WIP mess; he understandably annoyed that randos keep coming up and bitching about shit he'd already made clear.
Also, suppressing a gun with a loaf of bread is hilarious, kill yourself.

"I know it's buggy as shit" is not a valid excuse for releasing something that's buggy as shit. If you know how fucked up it is you should have the good sense to wait until it /isn't/.
Levi Howard
You're a genuine moron.
Nolan Taylor
You're clearly one of the retards who lacks any reading comprehension.
I released a preview to get help with testing etc. I made that very clear, multiple times. If you're too retarded to read you really shouldn't be commenting on anything.
Dominic Clark
You're a genuine moron. Gee whiz what a substantive conversation we're having.
Tyler Jenkins
Maybe you should actually read what people post and put forward something that isn't moronic drivel and we could.
He put it out there as a preview specifically to get help with testing, because it isn't finished, and repeatedly said as such. You're complaining that it isn't done yet.
How about you just go ahead and stop posting, champ.
Samuel Gonzalez
You don't need help with testing. You can't walk ten feet without stumbling over a pile of bugs already. I'm perfectly capable of reading that you're aware you're releasing a big steaming pile of unpolished, unfinished, barely functional garbage, but admitting that something sucks doesn't magically make it not suck.
Christopher Reed
>a bloo bloo bloo
Robert Rodriguez
How does this affect you in the slightest? Nobody is forcing you to use this you aspie fuck, if you can't handle the fact that he released for the purpose of having more people to test then don't download it. I know this is a meme around here, but I'm being serious, actually kill yourself. Actually commit suicide in real life. Thank you.
Mason Miller
And I clearly said if you are put off by bugs, do not use it. I'm not going to expend any more energy on a retard who lacks reading comprehension. I don't NEED help, that is very true, but it makes the process go quicker. If you fail to grasp a simple concept such as that then there is no need in having a conversation with you.
Joseph Evans
Just following the last few threads, he's identified a shit load of bugs that weren't on his list thanks to people here testing it.
Also /sg/ as a whole basically badgered him into it, a lot of us don't mind being guinea pigs for this shit.
Colton Lopez
For me, it's kinda fun. Not only do I get a really good and enjoyable teaser, I get to help the development even if in a very modest way.
Oh and Werejew, I forgot to point out before that the AKS-74u's reload sounds aren't synched properly, the sounds start a little too late after the animations. You're my fucking idol, man.
Jose Jenkins
The appeal of ironman is all in how you think of it. If you treat it like a roguelike it can make things very intense without being too horribly frustrating because you expect to die. It also makes things very immersive, since you are constantly making decisions based on calculations of risk rather than just taking whatever course will grant the most reward. Sneaking past groups of enemies, not looting a body to avoid a fight, following travelling squads for safety in numbers.
But after you've put a few hours in death is bound to be frustrating, especially since it is likely to come very suddenly. I wish there was a way to capture the tension and immersion without the inevitable anticlimactic death at the end.
I do recommend giving it a try though.
Daniel Rogers
Running Warfare, could someone point me towards which file(s) I'd have to modify to change a generic trader's inventory to that of a specific trader? Wanted to make it so traders that spawn in the military base in the Outskirts has the same inventory as in the Agroprom base, and probably do something similar in other levels.
Samuel Torres
Bronze Man mode, can save only in a safe zone like Cordon village or the Duty bar.
I wonder if they could actually code something like that into CoC (Script trigger based around proximity to friendly trader?)
Luke Ramirez
That actually sounds pretty good
Daniel Morales
I think I'll do that next time. The brevity of ironman runs does have something to be said for it as well. Many of my financial decisions in the last run were based on what keeps me alive right now. It is hard to save for an exoskeleton when you need every single ruble for supplies and your income is stifled by risk aversion. I'm not sure it would be quite the same in "bronzeman". I'll have to give it a try.
I suspect ironman is better for challenges, while bronzeman is better for more of a traditional run through the game with a better sense of progression.
