Usually multiroles are designed as such while strike fighters have their airframe adapted

Probably. Hoffnung is obviously a Dresden parallel but it doesn't work. Dresden happened in a time where precision bombing didn't exist and bombing an entire city was the only course of action.

Burning Hoffnung to the ground was totally avoidable.
