we used to do them with 1 moros, 1 archon and 2 lokis with an additional nag after the 1st escalation rats were almost dead, was pretty good isk, cleared like 1bil isk each for an hour of work not including all-out tier wormhole collapsing and losing megathrons

because the game is fucking enormous. unless you are also roaming through j-space, you are literally roaming around a tiny fraction of two thirds of the areas available in the game. if every system in the game had at least one player in it, there would be only two or three per system.

sov null is that way because of sov, npc sov and lowsec is that way because people want to live on good strategic systems (in range for drops, bordering a specific highsec, lowsec or null, npcs or moons) and highsec because living outside of a major market system is for miners.

with the low amount of people in todays age, it just makes people stay docked because they only undock when something comes near their home

any t1 frig or cruiser logi. try to make your gang all be armour or shield so it all matches up, and ideally buffer tanked or buffer + active

Consider that if you (for example) rat in null with zero precautions you will likely get your ass dunked in less an hour, and realize that there are methods of finding targets that you might not know about atm (in game map, dotlan, intel channels/bots) and there are more target rich environments that you also might not know about. For instance, you could try hazing pandemic horde in t1 destroyers and watch them fall like dominoes.

Goonganda aside, there are people undocked in pve ships right now. That's not really pvp though, if you're planning on killing those. That's just bearslaying.
