I don't like EO2U pacing.

EO1U was much better in this regard. It always followed Gladsheim floor -> Labyrinth stratum formula.

I think it is different in classic mode, as you advance in Ginnungagap by doing quests in the Bar. I think you can even ignore the new stratum, but I'm not sure.

Why is Ginnungagap even in the classic mode? I thought the new dungeons were exclusive to the story mode.

Because that way, you are not missing content by playing either mode. (Except Fafnir)

I did that. Grimoire a princess/troub defence buff on your magus and stack it with sapping curse on turn one. Keeps your frontline from being oneshot by jerk mobs with high efficiency. Also, Landsknecht is great for these builds because of passive tanking effects (high HP, great defence).
