Is Cathedral of the deep the most frustrating map in DSK3 or does it get worse?

That entire trip to get the third short cut open is a fucking nightmare.

It's really hard at first, but everything will kinda "click" and you'll get used to it. It's not that bad.

Frustrating in what sense? The Cathedral is by far the most sprawling and convoluted single area stuffed with the highest density of traps and loops and shortcuts, if that's what pissed you off.

Otherwise I found the Demon Ruins to be by far the worst area. Illusory walls fucking everywhere, a giant basilisk swarmed room, items on fucking lava in TWO areas, a beefy ass NPC enemy, shittons of toxic faggots that jab/breathe through walls, borderline one-way drops, and those fucking faggot turret monsters. It's short but aggravating as shit unless you get lucky and messages mark out all the illusions, because it's full of important-ass loot and is necessary to turn off the giant avelyn.

Farron shitswamp is aggravating because of the poison, but a regular chime's gentle prayed art outheals it, and nothing you'll find in the shitwater is really threatening, save when you're ass deep in it and trying to roll out of basilisk curse clouds.

Blighttown is great. Gutter is acceptable for 2 standards. Farron is a fucking mess. You can't even tell where you are if you get distracted, every area looks exactly the same.

I can't kill them it's literally impossible for me. Take one down really low the other comes and they fire breath me when I try to finish one off or huddle together so I can't attack. It's not like I do damage it's that I literally can't fucking hit them.

Speaking as someone who has actually done mocap data work, it's not that much work. It'd be a bit of a pain to look over all the weapon animations to make sure nothing looks too weird, but if they're worth shit they'll have the lower arms and torso on weighted layers anyways.

Pretty much all the DLC bosses have very high defense against elemental damage types. Mostly to fuck casters and lightning weapon faggots. Go dex physical and you'll have no issue, or else get something with REALLY high split damage.

Everything before Last Raven was shit. Tank controls are fucking garbage and so is slowly jumpscooting around tiny-ass shoeboxes to partially reduce inevitable amounts of mounting damage while you hope your tooled up weapons blast out enough damage to win first. They were clunky and simplistic in the extreme and basically amounted to mechwarrior without precise aiming.
