Archers are god tier, Goliaths are nigh-unkillable tanks when played right

Oh this is Long War? Well you heard right. Also consider Goliaths for tanks paired with a psionic support medic packing medkit perks/dank smoke/and mind merge (gives bonus DR based on will).

You don't even need the smoke and merge, a well built Goliath has crazy DR and health inherently.

All of these are actually good, so its up to you. I think people prefer Tandem and Javelin the most

With steady aim you can shoot 100% accurate rockets further then line of sight. Pair that with battlescanner/conceal scouts and you can iniate on pods with a rocket strike.

MECs level slower then standard soldiers, and often rely on having all their perks to fullfill their role. There are exceptions, but that's the general rule of thumb.

Unless you charged him into 2+ pods you better smoke rest of your team, ayys usually will target your other soldiers since they'll have bigger chaces to hit them than smoked tank.

And you don't want to make your bait/life saver useless while possibly sacraficing other squad mates.

Lone wolf and low profile should synergize good with hit and run since you'll be going out for flanks with them.

Sounds like the makings of a conceal scout.
Hit n' Run is always strong (action economy) for a combat scout.

Its a bit late to take ITZ since you passed up ranger and aggression. ITZ scouts are situational anyway.

I don't see concealment being much more than a gimmick, from the description, especially considering AI opponents have computer omniscience

It feels like it.

Concealment means ultimate battefield intelligence. Its not a gimmick, specially for UFO missions. Its let's your Sniper and rocketeer get set up properly with steady aim, set up overwatch traps, not activate multiple pods. You can prepare for any situation. You should be working towards having an 8 man squad by the way.

Partially true - they don't like anything anthropomorphic, be it furry, scalie, or otherwise. Porn just gets it deleted faster. Porn that isn't furry/scalie/etc. tends to be overlooked.

Its because people report furry porn, the mods/jannys only delete what gets reported, if you report any form of porn and it gets reported it'll be deleted and you'll probably get a warning or 3 day ban.

After almost 200 hours I still fucking hate Gatecrasher. The only mission in the whole game where grenades don't destroy half of the cover in the area and where the only good cover is 500m away from the closest enemy.

Cower and pray the rest of the squad are good shots with the remaining ammo left.

The problem is in the Defend the Haven mode you cant evac for 12 turns while waves of enemies are incoming. Every shot counts. Have to have real good fire discipline and not take low percentage shots. I had 3 members go winchester on me that mission - made it rough to survive. I lost the 4 scripted rookies that reinforce during the fighting.

There is no LW for 2 yet, no one has done enough of an overhaul type mod. That wont come for some time if ever. It's a weakness of the modding scene that everyone wants to be modular. It makes balancing difficult as its left up to the user to juggle.

That 6 is more like 30 unless you kill the merger as it also gets high DR while merged
