The fact that Infinity is all but dead didn't help things.

No major updates in two months. No new planes since the patch before last. Jewcoin system shows they don't really give a fuck about tournaments anymore.

I think the Razgriz has just died, after destroying teams across the board. Perhaps next year we'll return as a great hero.

Can't say how much I'm feeling devastated. It wasn't supposed to go like this. The few testing I could do before the match ensured at least a draw. We always had problems against centered 4-3-3s (see /gerg/) because /aceg/ lacked offensive power while relying in midfiled dominance. That's my fault, because I built the team and players like this. Also my fault for not understanding the rules and starting the game with a preset with conditions different from what I tested that resulted in an ealy goal. The setting from our last game wouldn't work properly because the rival teams played differently, but in the end it was too soon to make changes. FA tried to warn me but in the end being stubborn and sticking to my results ended in our worst defeat ever.

Back when we started the team, the series was dying, the general was depressing and there was no AC7 on sight. It was a last attempt to have fun with the lads. Now we got news, the general has been way more active (for better or worse) and now that I can do actual testing it feels like this suddenly became a burden because I don't have the excuse of not having a capable machine anymore. In the end, being a good player doesn't equal as knowing the game enough to undesrtand the mechanics and arranging a good setup. And I'm not asking for pity, because I realize it is my fault and you can blame me if necessary. If the general is still alive by the time a new VGL starts, we can see what can be done if /aceg/ wants a team again, but I'll be stepping out for now and go back being an Infinity scrub. Thanks to everyone, especially Formation user for the advice and patience, and sorry for all this.

It's unfortunate that we lost, but we tried our best, put in a sincere effort, and that's what counts.
