Yeah, but most of the warriors and nobles were vikings, therefore most of the armors and weapons of the time were very similar to actual norse armor and weapons.
It's the nobles that decide the fate of the country, not filthy peasants.

Of course, but it wasn't a "viking state" as I understand you're arguing. Of course for a short period of time Rurik and his associates dominated the path upon which the newly established state developed, but it wasn't a copy-pasted viking state that was simply established in eastern Europe, it was even in the beginning by and large a east slavic state.

You're literally arguing that Rurik and his warriors that formed the early rus state, were both the nobility and the warrior class at the same time, and that their descendants and their armour and weaponry was in-use for generations to come.

They weren't all of it, but they formed a sizable, most influential proportion.

And that their equipment was the only equipment available that every single person who ever fought from that state used said equipment that they brought with them from Scandinavia for generations to come.

Rhodoks suck on open plains, when khergits do their best. They also rule the walls, where khergits suck so bad, that Ive defended a 1600 man siege with 350 nords, all infantry, 2/3 warriors rest higher.
