Because Nisa the character is owned by NIS the company. This is true for all the maker characters, they are owned at least in part by their parent companies.

As long as they remain on good terms with the parent company, everything works out fine. But then the NIS thing happened halfway through the development of V, at which point they realized the potential issues that could come up.

That's why they used off brand expies rather than the usual method when it came time for VII's makers.

I do wonder about that. NISA went away because IF and NIS are mad at each other. RED went away because Red Entertainment itself went away and they brought her back when RE came back. But what about Gust? They just became legally owned by Koei Tecmo, does CH have beef with them too?

Nah, Red's reappearance is due to them getting the okay from the company that bought Red to use the character. They could do the same thing to get Gust back, of course, but from what I know KT is abit more cagey in regards to the stuff that they own.

HDN Histy just came out of a centuries long break, and the CPUs are motivated and get right to the task of saving the world, then save her oldest friend. Hyperdimension Histy has served the increasingly retarded and lazy CPUs of Planeptune for centuries, and has to deal with Neptune's BS on a daily basis, while running a whole country.

Actually, how was the Neptune before losing her memory in first game? In PC version, she says that she dont want her meories back, but I heard that on consoles she got them and then remove again. Why?

I mean the CPUs of Planeptune seems to be getting worse at their jobs over time. You have the CPU who created Histoire, and from what little we hear about her seems to have been a very good goddess. Down the line you get Uzume, who's flighty and daydreamy, but still seems to do work, and finally you have Neptune, who's so lazy getting her to do something as basic as killing some Dogoos is a chore.
Also, in both versions she says she doesn't want her memories back, since she was afraid that she would end up hating her friends again. I can't remember which version is which, but in one she never does remember, while in the other she remembered on her own, but lies that she doesn't because she thinks they're all better off now than they were in the Console War.

In HDN she gets her memories back, but it doesn't change her at all.
