doesn't it just have to be procedurally generated with perma death more or less?

I have it but I haven't played it yet.

Anyone got ideas for mechanics for an NT/Gungeon-inspired game? I'm working on one and have the basic stuff implemented but I'm not entirely sure where I want to take it.

You could kinda go the route of Zombi and have player deaths generate bosses that give the loot the player had before they died?

Depending on their weapons and other items/mutations would determine the playstyle and weaknesses of the boss itself.

It would incentivize players to be more cautious and try and think ahead to the weaknesses they had their last run and build themselves to use those weaknesses to their advantage.

I think I'm the only person to ever play this game.

Anyway here's my last run where I got completely fucked by a Daemon reviving a guard that I just used an 8 turn cooldown ability to KO, and he was able to immediately get LOS on one of my agents. Even if I cloaked in his face and killed him I don't have another armor piercing ability to get the guy to the left of the door.

It is pretty much stealthy XCOM, I'd recommend it, especially with the steam summer sale coming up.

Do you guys play darkest dungeon with any mods? If so which ones?

I prefer vanilla

I keep it vanilla but I sped the game up quite a bit.

There's a .txt file where you can change combat animation speeds at will.

I want to do vanilla my first time through atleast as well. The only one i concidered is letting higher level characters go into lower level dungeons. I leveled my best guy up to much because I was playing safe before trying the bosses and now i cant use him.

Is there a good combat roguelite that isn't just Isaac/Nuclear Throne? I want something that feels like it's semi-grounded in realism - like Gunsmoke-tier at most.
