Don't make a DPS class unless you want to wait 3 years in queue to run one dungeon.
Brawler is probably the best pick for "I feel like playing just a little bit to cure some boredom" since its basically a DPS/Tank hybrid that gets the benefit of being in tank's speedy queue.

a perfect rolled sf weapon will perform better from behind. Only by a small percent though. Vm7 is better by a somewhat larger margin in any other case. Good for tanks and aoe pvp classes where you dont expect getting b

For PvP you most likely want SF armor and Imp weapon

the base damage that's added makes up for the small decrease from the lack of a back damage line, which means when you have no backtime, you do slightly more damage, in addition to doing more damage overall, as well as a marginal increase from the crit resist debuff.

At 65 you can get like the third or fourth best gear for free just handed to you.

The correct wording is.

You get the beginner/baisc set handed to you (Idoneal)
You get the entry level set of gear fairly easily, and is easy to enchant (Dreadnaught).

The lines on all of the gear is different though. Starfall armor is just better for PVP and the weapon even has a better proc for PVP.

Why is chakra thrust not used? It's a pretty quick animation, and gives 30 chi.

I don't use it in rotation, but I keep it around in case I need to stun something to stop an attack.

I'm no PVE hero but probably because the other skills are better dps and auto attack reduces cooldowns. If you use thrust you aren't auto attacking which hampers your rotation. Maybe it's better than skyfall when it's up though?

Actually, all DPS are dull. Just do your rotation, over and over.

I've sort of figured, even lancer is dull.
You test out what attack you can fit in through the gaps of the boss attacks, then you just repeat them as you see them.

Mystic gotta be the most boring though, if you play it as DPS.

Are we talking about party play? Cause ive playex every class, and really only a sorc has difficulty in making use of their full rotations if thre bosses have a tendency to spin. The point of being a dps is to maximize your back time. You waste dps by using your strongest attacks in unoptimal settings, so why consider imcreasimg your front damage in a pve setting as a dps?

Nowadays I just spam dungeons to 65 but when the game came out I did every. single. quest. in every. single. zone. Now I can take people around exploring seeing all the things they may have missed, I know where all the cutscenes are and the cool little quest dungeons that you get to through a teleportal that no one knows is even there. It's really fun.

Great quests, great story.

You're not wrong, that's what the majority of quests are and they suck. It was easier to do them when dungeons didn't really trivialize leveling as much as they do, and for a solo/completionist person like me it was much simpler to just always do quests, but I mean it takes you to so many spots in the world you'd never go to otherwise. That's worth something, even if the quests are terrible.
