For those unaware, we played in Sarah before and the same people dropped it after a month or so

Any server with big numbers like that will just get labeled the pinoy server.

So, I've been wanting to play RO again due to nostalgia but I don't know what to make.
I've stopped playing when 2-2 jobs got introduced.
Are the newer classes different to build? Or are they still mostly the same, stat-wise?
Or are there servers that pander to nostalgiafags and don't have much of the newer stuff on there?

heres my opinion as a nostalgiafag:
trans ruined game by introducing forced neutral for almost every skill worth pvp:ing with, thus making build diversity a joke.

Pre-trans is fun.
The rates are great for pre-trans.
The population makes the game very enjoyable.
There are constant parties everywhere.
The economy is alive and thriving.
There is no p2w.
We have a solid guild with lots of active players.
There isn't a bunch of ez mode commands that lower the quality of the game.

I've played on all sorts of servers and Sarah Server is among the best. Fact is, the game is lot more fun when you don't zoom through levels and have dungeon warpers, constant resets, free bg items, auto job changers, free quest skills etc. This is how RO is meant to be a played and it's a lot better for it. Stop being a stick in the mud and come play!

Yesterday Swordpimp, Koda, Schwein, Mariko, and me (Shangai) were all on in the evening EST.

I honestly think we need to play somewhere else where the economy and rates are more encouraging. If there is such a place.

Play with us on Sarah Server. I know you'll say the rates are low, but I managed to get from level 1 to 50 in a single day because the server has so many active parties. I've seen lots of others do the same, too.

RO is meant to be played on keknewal, if anything, and it's shit.

Pre-renewal mechanics came to a stalemate due to too much retarded bullshit, the game needed an overhaul. Not that renewal is perfect but it did solve many problems, even though new issues were introduced.

I can't see any meaningful content existing in a pre-renewal setting, just more acid bomb fodder and mvps that oneshot you (because if they don't, you won't ever die).

I've considered setting up a server and doing just this, but I just don't think it'd get much of a population when "normal" servers struggle to get and keep players. Plus it'd take some time until you can tell if everything is properly balanced.

Don't mind low rates that much if it's pre-trans. Hell if you think about it, Sarah is much "faster" than Aeva because of it.

If everyone else would be up for server hopping, sure I'd consider Sarah. High population does so much, even if it is a bunch of Pinoys.

But unless everyone gets on board, I'll stay on Aeva. It sucks having people drop out on you, and I don't want to be one of those who do.
