Infinite is a linear FPS with magick and a confusing but interesting story in a cool setting. Also Liz...!! I really enjoyed it but it's very different from the first game.

If you get it, get the version with the BaS DLC.

user there's an extremely high chance that you will regret this so please don't buy. The XIII games are highly divisive and you need a certain kind of autism to find joy in them. And I'm speaking as someone with said autism

XIII has a great combat system and spectacle but awful pacing and story concepts that get squandered
XIII-2 is a better playing game in all respects with an awful time travel story
LR is a fun dress up sim and horribly designed and written in most ways

all three have great soundtracks

I'd say try XIII and leave the rest for a future sale if you like it enough to keep going

The kind that let's you stomach the long handholding, read datalogues to grasp the story, and tolerate whenever Snow is onscreen. If you don't care about story and just want a fun game get XIII-2 because it's the best game of the three. If you enjoy XIII-2 and the combat system but want a different flavor get XIII. Only get LR if you really like the other two games. Everything this guy said is accurate

they removed the Shepard skins in XIII-2 from the PSN before I could buy them...

LR is the best out of the three in terms of actual game mechanics, although the time limit is the only bad point. It's so much more fluid on a decent PC, too, because the PS3 had significant slowdowns in certain areas if you had lots of effects going on.

I say get them all while they're cheaper than normal. If you have a powerful system you can use DSR on them, I run them at 5760x3240.

my main complaint with LR is that the game forces you to do the awful, sub-inquisition level fetch quests to level up, as you gain no XP from monsters

Didn't mind that and you don't have to do them either. A lot of the combat is skill-based so you can easily get around a perceived stat deficit
