No, if I suck, I suck. It doesn't matter if my whole team plays perfectly and exposes an opening I can use for a flank if I then fumble up my play and get killed by a mechaless D.Va at melee range.

Just because your team is playing well that doesn't make you better, it just reduces the overall potential difficulty of encounters you might face.

I play a lot more solo than with friends.

It can be frustrating because if you're playing with decent friends you can coordinate ults, warn about shit, tell them what you're doing, etc.. generally results in more wins.

With public you're at the mercy of usually 2 or 3 players who play just for eliminations and POTGs.

Hanamura B is usually pretty fucking fun to defend, lots of alternate routes, lots of different ways to attack and defend means its almost always a bit different. Point A is okay if you get an enemy team that aren't a bunch of cowards who are terrified of pushing. Honourable mention to Gibraltar because of the way the map causes changes in gameplay as it moves along.

Volskaya B is the opposite to that and its boring as fuck, A is alright.

For attack my favourite is Gibraltar for the aforementioned reasons.

Least favourite is Volskaya, for pretty much the reasons above as well. It's probably the worst map due to how railroady B is.

Medals don't tell you shit. Maybe your team is just stomping harder than you are.

Even if you have gold, maybe everyone else is only a couple elms behind you

How do you guys counter a good enemy Reaper?

Good as in his shots consistently connect, he melts you in CQC and knows when to ult/use his abilities.

Reaper and Tracer are too fucking annoying if they're played by a good player.
