I got my Q4 for 160E in 2011 and it's still working well. Don't spend 200 on a stick that's dumb. Be sure it works on the consoles you want though.

I could play on pad and stick. I have a TE a Hori FC4 and a Dualshock 4. But I feel like I have to spend more time on pad to get my inputs as fluidly as possible while it feels more natural on stick imo.

wait for canadian joysticks (it's a webstore in BC, shipping sucks but no duty) to get the Qanba Drone, that's an EXCELLENT "first stick" and you can swap the buttons and joystick after you're ready to drop a little more paper to "upgrade" to arcade standard japanese parts
