How does collectibles work actually?
I've tried to use "Collector's glove" on a few nodes in the Dravanian Forelands but it just block me from gathering stuff.
I'm already mining stuff manually with 15 Survival Manual II tho, but it's very slow...

The only nodes you can use Collector's Glove on for the most part are Unspoiled and Ephemeral nodes.

That gives a list of all the unspoiled mining nodes. For level 50, you're going to want to collect Yellow Copper Ore. Do three Methodical Appraisals, then collect to get two ore that you can turn in at Revenant's Toll or Idyllshire for XP and a small sum of gil.

It's unspoiled nodes with a minigame, basically. You don't need to have Collector's Glove on *all* the time, just when you're mining an unspoiled gathering node.
Check out FFXIVClock or something if you want an alarm for those, and make sure you do the correct rotation. I think it's just Discerning Eye + Methodical Appraisal x2 in early levels though.
