I want to make a build that even an old man bad at video games could progress through the game with.

Something that even if they are terrible would allow them to survive long enough for a phantom to carry them.

Now that I think about it. Higher stability shield would likely be best and probably don't need Leo ring.

I don't know which armor and shields are optimal though. Or what spells could provide more survivability. I have a feeling that tears wouldn't help someone bad at the game too much. Maybe with tears and a regen spell would be best

I don't mind Archdragon Peak except for the bullshit guys with axes on chains. Fuck that shit. I've always been annoyed when enemy attacks go through walls while mine always ricochet off of them, but those fuckers are the worst.

High innate lightning damage + buffable makes it literally the best LB buff candidate in the entire game.
Only its high requirements make it difficult to fit onto a faith build, but literally nothing in the game short of tumbebuffed glitching can hit as hard as an LB-buffed Lothric GS.

I know poise was broken in DaS1, but I miss it being effective. It seemed like there were so many more viable builds in DaS1 because equip load and armors actually mattered.

Magic is all about deception and conditioning

You have to leave certain spells unused until you get them into a rhythm. For instance lets say you spam farron dart and after a certain about of them the opponent starts to attack, that's when you whip out the farron flashsword. When they start getting conditioned for the 2 flash swipes that's when you do 1 flash and 1 soul gs. Always use magic at different tempos and speeds. You could even take off the sage ring to throw off people's dodge timings if you're hardcore enough

Set down lingering flames while they are weapon buffing. Then try to defend the lingering flame area. If they try to run or roll through it then hit them with css.

If they don't come near it then move the trap zone up. If they try dancing just outside of lingering flame detonation zone then try moving a bit closer for point blank css or soul great sword.
