>OVERCASTING SPELLS
Double click a spell (it needs to be a boostable spell and you need to have enough magic in the magic pool) to overcast the spell
There's a 50% chance that the caster damages itself though!

>QUEST BATTLE TELEPORT
Select your lord (make sure he isn't garrisoned or in a stance)
Select the quest battle (on the map or through quest log)
There's a button in the bottom right of the quest battle window that you can use to teleport for 5k gold (when the battle's finished you're automatically teleported back to your original position)

>GROUP ATTACK
Group units with ctrl + g
Select your group and right click the enemy
All your units move and automatically direct themselves to and engage enemies they get close to while maintaining formation

Ahhh /twg/… the eternal general

BEASTMEN FUCKING SHITS WHEN
surprised it isn't elves first, maybe there's a mini Athel Loren campaign or something if it is the next DLC

RAPE AND TEAR

Patch tommorow?

Remember to refrain from anti-Elf posting.

Thank you for understanding.

...

>beastmen will ambush that medium army you keep in the North to stop norscan raids
>beastmen will raid your lands, fucking your economy up
>beastmen will destroy that precious military town, fucking your hire plans as you're fighting at the other side of the map
>beastmen will ambush your army who just had a phyrric victory over Kholek
>beastmen will always run away from your army, raiding and spreading chaos corruption as you struggle to maintain peace
>they will be here to fuck up your early campaign
>they will be here during the mid campaign
>the will continue to fuck your shit up after Archie and the gang get BTFO

>still no patch

Any reason why I can't use a family member at all in Attila? None of the seek wife or secure loyalty actions are available, the area is blank.

He's of age and has plenty of influence.

KINMUNE > Pelinal

its a bug, try assigning him to office, or governor position, or a general, then fire him, sometimes it helps

>wood elves will ambush that medium army you keep in the North to stop norscan raids
>wood elves will raid your lands, fucking your economy up
>wood elves will destroy that precious military town, fucking your hire plans as you're fighting at the other side of the map
>wood elves will ambush your army who just had a phyrric victory over Kholek
>wood elves will always run away from your army, raiding and spreading tree corruption as you struggle to maintain peace
>they will be here to fuck up your early campaign
>they will be here during the mid campaign
>they will continue to fuck your shit up after Archie and the gang get BTFO

But seriously, if Beastmen are hordes they're not going to last long in the campaign if the orc hordes in the Empire are any indication.

>But seriously, if Beastmen are hordes they're not going to last long in the campaign if the orc hordes in the Empire are any indication.

Those Orc Hordes will likely be replaced by beastmen hordes.

I think it'll depend on how their early game stacks up vs human early game. Whether they are at war with everything or not also matters. Real question is if they'll have a province somewhere as all hordes have another faction that is non-horde. (Warriors-norscea)

>implying they won't rebalance the norscans

r-right?

Anyone figure out what that shit they posted on FB is about yet?

_________

> Tomb Kings still not announced

>tfw CA is ded
>tfw no Wood Elf qt's

>In Rome 2 they would release a few factions via a campaign pack

The Adiai, Tylis and Odrysians don't require as much content as one Warhammer race, plus what you said for the rest of your post doesn't line up with what they've already said about how DLC will work.

If Beastmen don't have an economy based on rape, I'm gonna ree.

That is true. Everything about Warhams makes adding another faction more intensive. New skeletons, assets, quests, etc. Just have to wait and see. But speculating is at least a way to pass the time until then.

MORE CAMERA SHAKE

>Broken, abused sex slaves are the main currency
>By spending it you breed with a set number of them to produce more troops
>More elite soldiers cost more as it takes multiple attempts
>They're only spent once because they don't survive the process

The thing is, beastmen not being at war with every faction aside from chaos doesn't make sense, but they're not going to hang around for very long if they are pure hordes and start in the Empire since their armies will just get cleaned up by the other Empire factions. If they have some semi-permanent settlements in forested areas, that would help their survivability a lot and help to keep them around for longer so that each faction has a chance to meet them.

Thred as ded as the CA patching team

I just hope they release some official alternate starts when they release new legendary lords.

silly user, everyone know that the worlds fore-most cause of earthquakes has been arrow volleys.

been that way for 3000 years now

Why?

The game is centered around the main faction absorbing the others making a large one tribe faction. Every faction wants to get all LL's leading an army anyway so besides co op same fac campaigns that mod accomplishes very little. And there is a modder on that anyway.

Only fire arrows, though. Regular arrows have little to no seismic potential.

>Paid DLC: Blood and Burning
>Free DLC: ?

Bretonnia can't be that far out can it? Please don't be a unit or something. Even a LL would do.

>start playing multiplayer
>actually pretty good at it

I'm rank 580 something right now, and only spent two days or so playing.

Not having to try and keep up with the AI's micro makes battles much easier.

you know, seeing this video makes me wonder if the "fire arrows" are actually fire arrows, and not just resized flaming catapult shot

What's your army comp?

>you can capture artillery
Neat. I didn't know that.

Can't do that in Warhams which kind of sucks. Thought I could snag some artillery in a quest battle as Empire but nope.

Empire general on Griffon
Light Wizard/Bright Wizard on Pegasus
2 units of Greatswords
4/5 units of spears
4 units of Halberd Demigryphs
1 Great Cannon

The Great Cannon forces anyone without artillery to close on me, while the Wizard either snipers generals or harasses the army.

During the campaign, I honestly thought cannons were terrible and favored mortars/rocket batteries, I have to admit, using cannons in multiplayer has really changed my opinion of them.

You can, it's just ridiculously rare. In 200 hours I've done it once.

This place in Parravon seems pretty comfy.

Is it quest related? Will it be Bretonnian quest related?

Which is the best anti-armored infantry artillery for the Empire?

How accurate are my blurry MS-Paint'd FLC predictions, Understanders?

Cannons Shrek armor infantry.

Once they get some silver pips, cannons.

Or triple gold Helstorms, but they really need to be that high on XP to make up their terrible accuracy.

I think it's a quest, plus if you have a fight there you get a unique map, with giant statues of elves and shit.

I've captured a couple empire seccesionist mortars but it's rare and unpredictable. (I choose take on warriors in both cases)

>anti-armored infantry artillery
This is some Radious-tier shit right there.

It gets a little boring having the same starting considerations everytime you play a given race. Swapping which LL you start with doesn't change the feel much.

So if they release some official alternate starts they could give us area appropriate quest chains and LLs.

For example instead of Sylvania VC we could have Bretonnia VC with the ability to get two LLs that are not Manfred and Kemmler fairly easily. Then toss a "conquer sylvania" requirement on recruiting manfred and kemmler.

A lot of this can be accomplished by mods and I certainly intend on trying some soon. I just hope we get some official branching too.

>Empire Secessionists getting mortars
How badly did you fuck up your early game?
Or are we still talking about the Bloodpine Woods quest battle?

Anyone got a mediafire link to this mod? Imperium Praetoria

steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=457336683

I'm feeling like going for an alternate history playthrougth, but the Steam version refuses to install for whatever reason

Rome 2 or Attila?
I'm looking for interesting game mechanics. I already own Rome 1 and Medieval kingdoms.

I disagree pretty heavily on the starting lord point. Early game battles play out extremely differently for every faction but vampires based on your bonus units.

Attila if you want a better game, Rome 2 if you prefer the style.

Attila can be easily played vanilla, Rome 2 has more "flavour" but requires one or two mods to be as good as Attila. Some people like Divide Et Impera, but that's a bit of a hot topic.

Whatever you do with both, avoid Radious. If you want his units, which are fairly good, download them separately.

Tactics? Sure, your right. Strategy? No.

I didn't mean the battles. I meant who you try to blow and who you try to blow away.

Playing alternative greenskin starting location is like playing entirely different faction, because you actually do.

Well, my shogun 2 Otomo campaign is going well so far. Had a couple of siege battles where some vastly superior all-samurai armies at my matchlock bullets, which was nice.

Only problem right now is that takeda and date have allied and are roflstomping everything in their path. I've send two priests over there with a third one on his way to incite some unrest, but so far they show no signs of stopping their rampage. I'm ever so slightly concerned, even though they're on the other side of the country.

DLC WHEN?????

Plz CA release some content.

Have you tried Steam Workshop Downloader?
Here, link for your convenience:

>steamworkshopdownloader.com/view/457336683
I click download and for some reason nothing happens. Am I missing something?

>Enter the URL to an item in the Steam Workshop:

I dunno, maybe

I was either fighting that quest battle or another province, can't remember. I think the former because I remember thinking it was neat to get some artillery that early.

Curious. Works fine for me. Hang on, uploading to Mediafire.

If I don't enter the URL of the item, I can't even click download, smartass

That's really cool of you user, thanks

Here you go.

>mediafire.com/download/we8fge61ue1xlz7/mods_imperium_praetoria.pack

AHAHAHA Jokes on you user, I actually get off to dolphin porn!

no really, thanks

What mod/s do you people use to slow down combat?

I just saw this:
steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=708233508&searchtext=

And am about to try it out.

It's really weird, I put the .pack on data but it's not appearing on the manager

Well fuck if I know, I've never had any trouble with Steam workshop (for this particular game), so I don't know how to help you.
I tried fiddling around a bit, subscribing to the mod, copying the files, unsubscribing and moving them back. Doesn't seem to work. It only shows up for me when I actually install it through Steam.

It deletes the files when you start the launcher, doesn't it?

>mediafire.com/download/we8fge61ue1xlz7/mods_imperium_praetoria.pack
yup

I use Kam's "Proper Combat Mod" on TWC, I personally like it, it's slow and I actually get to enjoy the models in combat.

Well, fuck this shit.

Any alternate history mod you recommend with an ancient roman style units/faction?

Much demi
Many skill

I just went through my Shogun 2 folder, and discovered I apparently installed two Radious mods long ago and forgot about them. Do I have to commit sudoku to restore my honour now?

That's what I used to use but now am about to try the above to see if I get better results.

hello

The Date just steamrolled the entire right side of honshu and they don't like me.

Send help.

Bait them into committing their armies against your castles then insert an army by sea into their rear provinces.

>Doing some multiplayer
>allies hanging back doing literally nothing despite me being the only one who brought decent artillery
>have to use the elite flanking force I bought to actually attack head on to induce them to move and not get torn to bits by artillery
>still win, because demigryphs don't give a shit about head on charges

I'm preparing to do just that, while my priests are spreading the word of jesus and holy rebellion in their middle provinces. So far so good, they've lost about 4 provinces so far.

>complaining about demi's

Every faction has it's cheese.

Dwarf armies are 90% miners, Vamp's use nothing but crypt horrors and spirit leech, Orcs and Chaos are just a meatgrinder in general

At least you can actually outplay Demigryphs. Nothing to be done about someone clicking on you with Fate of Bjuna or Spirit Leech.

The game's still a mess, balance wise. Demi's will get nerfed, probably, or other cav units will get buffed.

steam sale has Attila for 12 bucks.

Should I get it just for the after Rome era(i hate calling it dark ages because that implies shit eating peasants and other Victorian anti-church propaganda that they cooked up), or just go for Rome II?

Also, Total War: The Great Northern War when?

What's so good about the miners? I've not played dwarfs yet, but I thought they weren't all that great?

havent played the game, but in table top they're able to pop up in the middle of the battlefield because they literal dig their way underneath the enemy army, pop up, and fuck em up.

If you ever wanna play Rome 2 get it before playing Attila because its so bad you won't be able to go back. Its also probably cheaper.
AP plus vanguard deployment for their low cost. I don't think anyone else gets cheap AP units besides Dwarfs.

Super cheap, and their blasting charges do armor piercing damage and massive morale damage, allowing them to start with an edge against any unit they fight.

They're also still dwarves, and thus obnoxiously heavily armored and with high leadership.

>Empire
>skill

Massive AP, and the base dwarven armor means they eventually beat most tier 1 and some tier 2 units in a fight of attrition, despite being cheap as fuck.

Their blasting charge grenades also mean they're guaranteed to do decent damage to any unit they fight.

Almost every dwarf army in mutliplayer consists of Great cannons, miners, quarrelers and iron breakers, and they can field a shitload of them.

>Tfw want to play more warhammer
>Bored of my Chaos campaign
>Already played Dorfs and Orcs
>Already played VC and Mousillon
>No interest in playing Empire
>tfw want to play but bored all the way
Official faction Mousillon when?

Miners are absolute trash, they cant even beat orc boyz

It's known as Late Antiquity or the Migration Period.

>literally didn't mention the word skill

But still

>VC
>skill

The only two VC tactics right now are Death Magic sniping (A single Fate of Bjuna can reduce the oh so feared demis to 25% HP with no counter) and stacking regen buffs on a massed force of crypt horrors/cairn wraiths to create an unkillable blob.

>Orcs
>skill

Almost ever orc army is a meatgrinder lead by Azhag, who does the same shit as seen above in VC, but with the addition of the best artillery in the game and cheap, highly effective units.

>Chaos
>skill

Chaos get's death magic. See VC. Chaos is actually genuinely sort of underpowered right now if they try to do anything but Death magic cheese. The most effective force I've seen consisted of nothing but Forsaken, Chaos Spawn, wolves and giants and only tactic was a headlong rush at me, with wolves charging in from the side.

>dwarves
>skill

Literally ever dwarf player uses the same noob box with only minor variations.

Miners on the flank, cannons and quarrelers in the middle. Some people spice it up with heroes, others with ironbreakers.

Either way, it's a stationary killbox that you have no choice but to charge into, unless you took an absurdly artillery heavy army for the Empire. Or you're also Dwarves, in which case, welcome to the dullest game of your life, with whoever attacks losing by default.

>empire
>skill

Demi's hit extremely hard, and have no really bad matchups. Greatswords are also good for their cost, and cannons are solid.

Light Wizards are excellent snipers, though there's luck involved with whether they actually hit or not. Bright Wizards do incredible AoE damage.

Spearmen are nice meatshields, but will lose 1v1 vs basically any other tier 1 unit given time.

>miners
>great canons
>iron breakers

those are all shit units

Miners get mashed by literally anything such as stated, their charges are no where near good enough to warrant taking them over anything, canons will never be able to pay for themselves and will get get traded for a light cav if your opponent has a brain. Ironbreakers can not kill a damn thing, only tank a fight and for what they cost nearly as much as a demi which will have exponential returns in comparison.

>can't even beat orc boyz

Maybe because Orc Boyz are the best tier 1 unit in a straight scrap? They'll basically 2v1 Empire state troopers for at least a minute.

Miners will hold their ground for ages, like all dwarven units, and that's what you want them to do.

>ironbreakers cannot kill a damn thing

Ironbreakers beat Demigryphs 1v1.

youtube.com/watch?v=OP5003WdemQ

T.Radious.

>and will get traded for a light cav if your opponent has a brain

Confirmed for never fucking playing dwarves. You literally deploy in a square, or against the corner. Unless that light cav can teleport, that's not going to happen.

>light cav
>dwarves

How?

Basically every dwarf I've met deploys in a killbox. Light cav cannot break through even dwarf warriors or miners.

Why not just snipe them with flying units and death magic?

If orcs use doom divers and savage orcs

30 melee attack, 30 weapon strength, there are state troopers with better stats dunno what happened there but I have never seen dorfs get anything

anything that fucking flies and attack one side of the box with your infantry holy shit this is hard its not like boxes haven't been a MP thing since M2

roll fags
