Snek is only for love, not for shoot.
Robotsneks when.

Overwatch kill notification mod when?

Its the first day of the month! And yiu know what THAT means! Every first day of the month is a monoeye day!

Cyclops Mod when?

>First day of the month
>It's the 2nd

>Cyclops Mod when?

But user, you can already have beep boop cyclops:

>first day of the month
>07/02/16
Confirmed. Cyclops can't see for shit.

:o

THE DREAM IS REALIZED This is a triumph. I now have at least a robocyclops operator for battle. Now all I need is human cyclops mod when

Alright /xcg/
It's been a month or two since I played.
What do you consider the must-have mods from the pastebin?
How's the new DLC so far? Are mods compatible?

Do you still need to start a new game with every mod you install?

Reposting from last thread: So i have a couple friends that like xcom, and we play dnd pretty often. Since they're (mostly) not shitters, would a tabletop xcom game sound fun with each person controlling an individual trooper?

You mean Only War?

I remember a pretty long thread on Veeky Forums that lasted for a while. Guy was explaining how he was doing it TTRPG style. Even reported back after anothing session.
He also had some base-building aspects and an over-arching story.

They had plenty fun, don't have archive tho

WHY THE FUCK CAN SNAKES PULL ME THROUGH WALLS

Time to try another campaign, last time it was too hard, so i wanted to see if there were any mods to make it a bit easier, but a lot of them feel like outright cheats, the only one i found that seemed like it would make things easier on the early game is "psi rookies" which apparently makes a psi class similar to the vanilla one but it works like the normal classes, so if you get one you can't make them as strong as the vanilla psi operatives. Seems like a decent trade off.

>leave xcg after first x2 playthough
>come back to cosplay cosmetics, nude mods, and no MELD
I don't know what I expected.

Remember to take your meds /xcg/.

Why not just use 'larger starting squad' to help edge out the difficulty while also allowing more variety in squads.

Thanks doc.

Was reading OW, sounds neat as fuck, but one member of the group (me) thinks 40k is kinda cringey. Looking into it though.
Awesome. I think we're gonna straight adapt the game onto the table, and modify it as necessary. What difficulty should we start with? Classic?

Because i forgot that was a thing. I'll get it later i guess, also.

>Soldier screams "T-Tell my kids i-i" when he dies

And by later i mean right now i guess.

Thanks doc.

Gracias medico

Round 4.

How strong is a full squad of beep boop?

two of them made the resistance haven defence a cakewalk so I imagine very strong.

Well i suppose this is better than the previous attempt at least.

We also got that new class that is on the front page of the workshop.

>Music for Mechanical Men:

Fucking based.

>C&C
I will never forgive EA for destroying westwood.

Fuck I miss westwood. Fuck you EA

That hivemind

Can you speed up Mechanical Man repairs in any way? I find they take almost prohibitevly long to repair, my current one is gonna take 28 days to bring back up from 2 HP. Assigned to the engineering of course.

>Watch old thread
>porn
wew. We came a long way
Also new shitty edit, rate

I'm told shen's last gift is out.

Is stop wasting my time still mandatory?

how bad is XCOM 2 again
is the version with the DLC worth it
is the base game even worth it

Not terrible.

As it's on sale, yes, It's cheaper to get the all-inclusive version rather then just the basic game and the MEC DLC (which is worthwhile).

Yes.

It finally happened, a mission went well. Too bad the mission took like a fucking hour.

is the DLC going to be of any value if put less than 70 hours into this thing
because ive got like 50 euros on my steam wallet and i was thinking of picking up something else alongside it and i'd be able to fit in Divinity: OS (20 european dollars) if i went with the basic version of xcom 2

These classes though, rangers never.

Well, you could easily enjoy the game without it.
Just get the base game and pick up D:OS then.

Anarchy's Children is just cosmetics, shitty ones at that.

Ayy Rulers are basically boss battles, some would say they break the game and are artificial difficulty.

Shen's Last Gift adds Mecs.

>divinity os vs xcom2
Do you have a friend to play divinity with? If so then definitely get that. Me and a friend have been playing it recently. We dove headfirst in on the hard mode and have been having a blast.

Mwahaha! Your tears of impotent robo-rage are as sweet ambrosia to me, Julian!

i don't think i'd be able to rope any of the people i know into buying it, so i'll likely be soloing my way through Divinity. hopefully its fun and/or interesting all the same.

So I bought the reinforcement pack, haven't played since release.

Loaded my ol' save, realized I could build the mech immedietly and it feels boring'ish. Seems I can't activate the mission cause I've gotten so far?

Same with Alien hunters I guess, saw some Viper King which escaped, I take it it's recommend to start a new save with the DLC?

You have to start a new game to enable the missions.

I can understand the kinetic strike being weaker in 2 compared to EW since it was a rocket-assisted fist in EW and in 2 it is just the sparks punching the target.

So, I'm on my fifth campaign and just thought, is there a benefit for capturing the enemy VIP instead of just PURGING?

Intel

>>Soldier screams "T-Tell my kids i-i" when he dies

Imagine if we had something like this for bleedout:

PROMOTIONS

>butt tattoos

so there was a nude mod, every great game has at least one

So, I downloaded the angry static cosmetic pack and the stuff I wanted (specifically eggsalt vests) isn't present.

Is it on another mod or it hasn't been ported?

I don't know about that one but the "XCOM EU/EW Ports: Extras" mod has the exalt vest

>putting a sectopod at the end
>tier 1 weapons
>on legend

thank you Jake, you fucking shithead

When I mean vest, I mean the tactical one, like the dude on the back, not the suit vest.

You have lily there to hack the thing.

Anyone else see the new Independence Day movie?

Stupid movie as a whole, but it got kept me thinking about XCom throughout it.

it has a million HP and you cant MC it

>Playing on Legend without savescumming and mods to tone down the difficulty
>I mean, "balance" and "fix" the "bugs"
wew

I don't think we have that yet.

As far as I know most mods are compatiable, at least people with huge mod pools seem to be able to still run the game fine.

>What do you consider the must-have mods from the pastebin?
The only essentials from the pastebin in my opinion are the quality of life and fixes mods. Honestly everything else is kind of up to your discretion right now on what you want. If you're looking to get a more specific experience out of X2, people here will be able to recommend the combination of mods and .ini edits that would be a good start. There's no "Long War" equivalent right now, so you'll have to experiement more.

You don't have to worry about new mods in the middle of a campaign, and for most you don't have to worry about turning them off mid campaign as well.

You can hack the other MECs though to help distract/wittle down his armour

He has fuck all aim so you're bad if you didn't bring anything with suppression to keep him useless while you shred his armour.

It's not that tough, the MEC spam is the worst part about it,

Quick, post cinematic screenshots!

>You don't have to worry about new mods in the middle of a campaign, and for most you don't have to worry about turning them off mid campaign as well.
That's good news.
I remember that you couldn't turn off a single mod without crashing this save with no survivors at first

...

it rapes shen and misses no shots so get off your veteran horse

the generators supposed to help but its not enough

Yeah, I pretty much avoided mods except for the really big cosmetic ones and a few quality of life ones in the first month.

Pretty far past that now, just the usual DLC patches that break mods, which is too be expected. This one wasn't even that bad, just a few offenders.

>quality of life and fixes
>Most of them are actual, literal cheats

>-4% Squadsight
>on melee attacks
JAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Do you want to get bayonetted that badly?

r8 my new squad, /xcg/

I had Shen in heavy cover and a suppressed Sectopod failed to hit her or the SPARK next to him.

>Body on the ground with loot
>Loot icon on unit you're targeting as well
What cheater mod is this?

Bloated UI Mod

steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=646244015

No, I mostly meant why you have a second mob dropping loot. Only one should per mission. Being able to see which unit is carrying loot is definitely a cheat as well though, but may as well go full force I guess.

One that gives me not one, not two, but SIX loot drops per mission, fully configurable of how much loot drops you get.
After playing a vanilla L/I campaign I'm just enjoying life with cheatmods for fun

Well I suppose you deserve a cheat break after that.

Pistols are Useful.

Yeah.
Current cheat mods include:
No avatar project
Lootboxes with opening time tweaked to instant
No rookie training times in GTS
No time limit on missions
12 man squad thanks to LW toolbox
Not created equally and hidden potential thanks to LW toolbox as well
A couple of extra classes
Some shit that I forgot
and all that on difficulty just below legend because playing on normal is just too cheaty

Coming soon lads.

So are these supposed to be the new and improved Ethereals?

>and all that on difficulty just below legend because playing on normal is just too cheaty
I can't play on less than Commander myself. It's just not the same game anymore. I'd love to be able to say that about Legend, but the gap in difficulty between the two is just too damned vast.

That neck looks fearful flimsy.

No, that's Super Saiyan Future Cyber God Super Saiyan Goku. He's just trying to help the ayyys have a chance against the might that is XCom.

>sectopod as final boss in a mission that is available pretty much in the first month

Bravo, Firaxis, yet again you prove what fucking hacks you are.

Nobody's forcing you to go to it in the first month, should've learned your lesson after blacksite/snek lair

That doesn't make it less retarded. The entire rest of the mission is clearly designed for an early game squad, and then they throw a fucking late game mech at you. Even by XCOM2 standards, that is beyond bullshit.

>battlerifle infantry with gunslinger
>pistol is basically assault rifle

How much damage does Bombard on sparks do?

What research unlocks tier 2 bits? I've already one MEC autoposy.

Got the head done.

My new GTX 1080 came in. Turns out that even with it I can't get constant 60 FPS on absolute maximum settings (IE, everything max AND MSAA 8x). Only at 1080p right now too.
Going for MSAA 2x is an easy 90 FPS though, and MSAA 4x is 75, so still pretty nice overall. Not even overclocking the card beyond the OC it came with. Game is pretty solid 120+ FPS on max everything and FXAA.
Definitely a pretty nice boost over my old 670.

Don't suppose you could make the rusty chassis of the Feral MECs a customization option?

I FUCKING HATE THIN MEN

Don't worry. We hate you, too.

Is it hard modding the Mecs or is it like regular armor mods?

So /xcg/, I just got my hands on XCOM 2 As a birthday present but I have a challenge.

To make it run on an Intel HD 3000 and 6 GB of RAM.

What's recommended for making this journey easier? Any .ini edits in particular I should try first? I'm not above total fucking toastermode but I'd at the very least like textures to look good if I can have it.

Can someone please tell me where the fuck I can find the new Robot classes skill tree?

Just give up and go toastermode
