Thread seems pretty dead, but dumb renpy question:
Main menu music won't play. No error message, just no sound.
config.main_menu_music = "menusong.mp3"
Things that aren't the problem:

Are you sure you didn't mute the audio inside the game? Is your default volume level set to 0? Is your file correctly formatted to be mp3? Does your mp3 have any uppercase letters?
No. I actually just tried, and music inside the game plays absolutely fine. I just played the menu song in the game, worked fine. No uppercase letters, the file seems to play fine, the volume isn't set strangely. I have no idea what the problem is.
Dunno man, are you on an old version that might have had a bug? Best bet would be to ask on the lem forums.

Maybe that specific .mp3 file's encoding is fucked in a way so ren'py can't play it? Try using one of the files that already works as gameplay music for the main menu.

Try altering other codes nearby to be sure that section is being called and not overridden by something.
Well I figured it out. It was literally just the options script being fucking retarded and somehow not understanding that I had made changes to it. I've had problems with that before so I guess that explains it.
Something like that happened to me while using the reload script command. Apparantly changed something while loading and renpy got stuck with the older version. Had to modify the file and save it again for the program to recognize the change.

In renpy, how to you make the song repeat faster? In the game there's always a short but noticeable pause after the track ends but before it repeats. It's not the music itself, if I make it replay in other software it's instant.
Looks like the people bitching about Tao not finishing Dizzy Hearts yet has gotten a reaction. He's decided to put Toko on hold until next year to complete Dizzy Hearts first, since Toko would've slowed down Dizzy Heart's completion. That's good news for kickstarter backers, but I bet Steam users will be pissed.

He had plans to release Toko chapter 1 in fall, evn complains about his lack of focus and that his kickstarter project which is the oldest still isn't done, suddenly and days later decides to make oldest game top priority and delay other game. It's an odd coincidence if evn didn't influence him at all.

I can see why people would pass on RA: Hope. Reborn was more of a sci-fi investigation/mystery, while Hope was a high school comedy in space. They felt pretty disconnected to me. Fates should be better, because it's a direct sequel to Reborn.
