We've known the thread would inevitably die for about six months now, it's just that occasional updates and weekly Splatfests kept us fed. Now we're at the point of uncertainty, especially since this fest will tarnish one of the Squids that have helped us last for so long...

Interesting how it fell from use over time. It was meta back in the early days because its lack of accuracy meant people that couldn't work out motion controls could actually hit something. Now it's pretty crap, to the point where giving it the best Sub and best Special is balanced.

The Aerospray RG was meta because of how easy it was to get top turf covered thanks to it's fast turf coverage, high ink efficiency and Inkstrike Special. The only other contender was the Inkbrush. But then the N-Zap '89 came out and pretty much destroyed its niche.

In ranked it was pretty mediocre at the beginning because it sort of had something for everything. It had Inkstrike for neutralising or taking the Splat Zone and Ink mine for causing trouble on the tower coupled with its good time to kill when kissing the enemy inkling, The Luna Blaster pretty much put an end to that since hiding behind the pole to force the enemy to come to you couldn't protect you from blind Luna Blaster shots to clean the tower.

I plan to use it for the final Splatfest though. Gotta see Splatfest off with my favourite weapon.
