I usually join rounds that haven't begun, and I just go about my business trying to do my job like a Station Engineer or a Chemist or something. Ten minutes later something bad happens, I try to help but never do much (potentially die in doing so), thirty minutes later round restarts usually cause the station is destroyed or something.

Nothing really crazy ever happens to me or that I get involved in and at the end of the round I don't feel like I did much. Is it because I'm not the antag roles or am I not going out of my way to be a dick to other people thus getting me into trouble/action?

since i dont play antag, i tend to rp a little more, for example since roboticist is really the only role i know well, i play that and rp it a bit, usually complaining about how busy i used to be back in the day (in reality i used to get someone asking to be borged at round start, now its rare anyone at any time gets borged) and making notes about me not borging people without their in person consent
or you could try out xenobio and fuck with slimes. just try not to flood the station. and keep the extinguisher filled
