Leveling as a mage, is there a reason to buy spells like Scorch? I'm going frost spec, so why should I spend gold on fire/arcane spells?

scorch is worth levelling if u have enough gold for mount at 40
skill up frostbolt, coc, nova, fire blast and scorch (if u have the spare g)
ignore everything else
i'd pick up arcane missiles incase you run into something immune/resistant to frost
otherwise just frostbolt and create food/water or other utility spells

You don't need to level nova, you only ever use rank 1. All extra ranks do is increase the tiny damage and mana cost. It's like 75-80 damage at max rank.

Early fury aside from cruelty is fucking garbage. You get way more out of imp HS, imp OP and even rend, and you should be leveling 2h until the 50s at least anyway for more consistent damage and world pvp viability.
Go 5/5 cruelty first then grind down SS and 2HW spec then respec full arms at 40, then take cruelty at 41 on.

In what way is 45% of your AP anything but shit before you get decent gear? MS is weapon damage + more, which is way better when you don't have gear. Plus the healing component of BT is garbage and the deep Fury tree is mediocre. The Arms tree is flat damage increase.

How's the rage that way? I'm leveling a warrior now and I don't seem to have much rage at all. I guess if you drop HS from your rotation it's not bad, especially since that makes your next attack not generate rage.

That about sums it up. You keep auto attacking in between slams so it seems to keep your rage higher while dealing more damage than waiting for 30 rage then hitting MS as arms.

fury is straight up faster and more efficient lol. 100% enrage uptime is better than arms has to offer
