What Style seems most effective?

Right now I am trying to find a new game to enjoy. Got Underrail, but stuck on the character creation screen. Hard West seems fun too, but seems rather easy to get into, so Ill probbly wait with that one. I need to finish the current Tactics Ogre game, at the very end, but I dunno, don't feel like it.
Also been thinking of going for a DQ game, just havne't decided on which.

Get used to moving and groovin', dodging and positioning are your best friend.

Always use your charge hits while the monster's mobile, go for the regular attacks when the monster's downed.

Aerial and Adept seem to be the most popular styles.

Random 4U hunts, Steamworld Heist, and some Smash. Mostly trying to get farther in 3U though. I'm almost done with high rank and I'm fucking dreading grinding for my first g rank set.

If I set a trap/get the target down? Everyone's at the hea and I cant get my hits in without an interruption. Its like trying to fight without knees.

Go for DQ5, it's pretty good. Get the SNES version.

I farmed the mixed Helios set for my hunter, and God that was painfully boring. It lasted me a very long time though.

I've played, 4,5 8,9. Long time ago though. I really should get into 6, but don't quite feel like going with a minimal guide, or lose out on classes/members. 5 Is a damn good rpg

Play it then, it's pretty good. You don't need a guide, it's actually not a good idea to spread the classes too wide. Just take what feels natural for that character and you'll have a blast.

Isn't there a thing where you pick the hero class, you can't access to two other classes? Or something along those lines? And party members can be missed/screwed up without notice? I am not sure, but that's the impression I got from some dq threads.

A,X,X has super armor and is what you should use when people are around you. For Adept don't be afraid to let go as soon as you start blue charging. You'll do a smaller uppercut that doesn't leave the ground, but it still does very good damage and KO.

I want my gf to play monster hunter and she tried it once but wasn't into it (barely got past the tutorial) how do I persuade her?

1) lickings and dickings
2) teach her the basics and hunt together, or have her try the demo instead of the tutorial because then she gets a taste of how already having the stuff works out

Is adept gun lance strong in the game or just the demo? The adept guard feels ridiculous. 40+50 motion values, a full burst AND a reload so you can spam it? Wow.

I dunno, but it's my fastest time on Narga for sure.

Same with anyone. Tell her the best and worst things of every weapon, ask her if she likes fighting ranged or up close, be patient, have her fight the weakest monster like great jaggi. My ex still plays monster hunter with me. She loves aerial dual blades because it's up close and fast. Just hunt with her a couple times.

Overexplaining things makes stuff seem boring for most people. Hunt some stuff with her in the demo, explain the basics, let her try some different styles and try to not be a minmaxing faggot. Teach her the essentials when she get hooked on the game.

If we're just going to put in a bunch of recolors and reskins instead of actually making new monsters, I'd rather they do it with monsters that don't already have clones in the game. We don't need 3 nargas. I would rather see a tamamitsune that uses explosive cum instead of soap, or a gammoth that doesn't fight like an herbivore.

How do I get my character to run towards the monster after I dodge? I usually end up running in the opposite direction of the monster unless it is stationary
