moderately, some balance changes are retarded but no one is game rapingly op, some are ok, new maps are comp bait but pretty good, casual matchmaking is kind of retarded but that might lead to a resurgence of community servers like the olden days so it's a blessing in disguise

90% of the community used the quickplay button. This is 2016, nobody knows what custom servers are if they didn't play on them in the past. They are not advertised, not even now. This means that for all the casual players there is now a massive penalty for doing something you could do freely as many times as you wanted. In the eyes of casuals the game is now unfun and completely ruined because they can't just jump around servers and play the game. This is made even worse by (again, in casuals' eyes) forced 24 player servers rather than their 32-player shit festivals.

Competitive mode is also ruined because three demomen and three medics can end the game in twelve seconds. So even if you are somehow a casual who thinks you are good enough to individually compete with others, you are completely wrong because skill means far less in a competitive TF2 environment than team composition. Four entire classes are completely worthless in this mode, two of whom have about 3 each in casual servers at any given time.

The game is fucking murdered unless Valve gets off their asses and fixes this penalty bullshit and new UI as soon as possible. Given their track record regarding work ethic this is unlikely to happen, so I hope your anus is all lubed up for Blizzard's circumcized money dick.
