I can edit the .ini to do anything. That still doesn't change that the intended release is basically pointless in game outside of having a fancy new weapon model that shoots lasers. The LW is notorious for doing their best to make things not useful or able to fill any tactic.

Do you change your psionics to have their original hair colour or do you keep them as animes?

Do any mod authors have plans to release the XCOM EU Tier 1 armors? I miss the original armor design and the Resistance Warrior looks fucked up and ultimately dumb.

Yeah and? Vanilla XCOM2 wasn't made with more then 3 weapon tiers in mind. These aren't made to mesh perfectly in the vanilla game, why would they?

The point of this is to release LASER WEAPONS. What people want to do with them is up to them. I don't really know what your talking about, its a weapons cosmetic mod, not a balance mod.

I'm sure the same guy is working on it, they just priotized T2 and T3, since X2 T1 has the strongest cosmetics and most choices.

They had it carry an explosive in. Why not put a remote-controlled gun on them instead so they don't have to waste the robot by exploding it?

Probably time constraints. If it wasn't set up that way from the start they weren't going to waste time setting it up while there's an active shooter. That's just a guess.

I don't see what how battlescanner change was a fiasco, clearing half the pods without having to engage them is broken.

Only change I disliked was the infinite drone repairs, that was a minor neat trick that felt like it got removed just to spite beagle.

The "solution" was ridiculous. You also hardly cleared half the pods, it was a good tactic, not a foolproof way to break the game.

Has anyone gotten anything useful from the Daiz name generator? I remember one or two people in the thread used it last year, but when I tried it on long war all my soldiers got the same name (even though I typed in multiple).

How is it supposed to work exactly? Assuming I do get it working I'll still only come up with 100 names or so, on an 80-soldier barracks that will create a lot of dupes.

It worked for me, so honestly not sure what is wrong on your end. I was playing B15 at the time though, but really it should work fine for 1.0.

It was a good tactic, yes, but clearing maps? The only way you can achieve that is with the vast majority of your squad being snipers, which will present a whole new plethora of problems. JLs reaction was overblown and would completely fuck things over. The change that was eventually settled on(missed shots trigger pods), should have been the first thing on the table.

Who do you equip the bolt caster on? On the specialist is tempting, but the reloads get in the way of the spec's abilities that only cost a single action, they're the go to guy for a stock and guardian obviously needs more than one shot.

What's the end effect? You input 50 names, all your will have one of those 50 names, correct? And you probably need to do some manual renaming after to remove dupes?

ATTENTION EVERYONE

LWS' Alien Pack should be released within a week or two, so if you're thinking of starting new playthroughs it would make sense to wait for that to come out as well.

By the way, LWS' own game is currently on hiatus while they work on X2 stuff, and remember that they have one more big magnificent mod coming after the Alien Pack. It won't be soon, so you shouldn't wait for it right now, but it should be a lot of fun when it eventually does.

/xcg/ modders, I have a question for you.

How hard would it be to add a new enemy using a completely new set of animations? Or, failing that, a new enemy that uses gremlin animations?

I haven't seen a single custom animation/animation replacer yet. Even the combat knife just uses the Advent Stun Trooper stab. Enemy that uses Gremlin animations is plausible though.

The SDK is completely shit, so either he lucked out and got his to import or he used some other unreal editor. I've tried to import animations myself and they all just crash the SDK.
