I found this little guy out in the glowing sea but can't do anything with him
also I'm missing my glass / plastic helmet texture (?) and I don't know why

>mfw kicking in some raiders shit who thought their power armor would save them
Oliver Rogers
>Start as a raider >HAVE YOU SEEN MY SON SHAUN?
Angel Ramirez
so um. this game is never going to be good right.
Aaron Jackson
I'm still not oer the horrendous start to F4 and its story.
Lots of things about the game are good. Forcing the main character to have already had a kid before the game even starts is not one of them.
Luis Robinson
Never ever

Reminder that your son had a choice between cybernetics that could make people immortal or robots that looked like people and he chose the latter for no conceivable reason other than autism.

I want to side with the BoS but not build the Relay at the airport, is it okay to side not with them at this point and have someone else help me build it?

HOW IS THIS SUPPOSED TO WORK
Daniel Morgan
Wandering eyebots are useless but don't kill the one near Diamond City, guards will attack.
If you have Armorsmith Extended you might have Sunglasses or something equipped along with the Hazmat Suit so your visor is missing. Or you have a Broken Hazmat Suit, which doesn't filter radiation.
Kayden Wood
>and he chose the latter for no conceivable reason other than autism. The Institute scientists wanted to be seen as gods with that tech at their hands so he put a stop to the research. Really, the plothole here is not being able to transfer consciousness to a Synth form.
Nicholas Price
>Get cybernetic implants that make you live for hundreds of years >make synth anyways because you have all the time in the world
Jacob Cook
is the dolphin porn still buggy as fuck? is the vault tec dlc fun at all? what can you do
no bullshit son story wouldve improved the game by at least 20%
He didn't make the choice to make synths, that was done when he was a baby. Also synths are fake people, not robots that look like people which is a very different concept. Shaun bans cybernetics when he becomes director because he doesn't like Kellogg and that all the other scientists only care about the extended lifespan aspect of cybernetics.
Owen Lopez
Which I think works. Having said that from about level 10 onwards I have been able to use it nonstop and always find more cores than I need.
They could have made the repair costs higher though. or perhaps had the amount you can repair the sets tied to the armourer perk. With the lesser sets you can fully repair with just some steel and you're good to go.
Evan Mitchell
It adds some cool things but most of them are insanely buggy and it's 100% going to ship like this.
Blake Lee
It already is good.
It won't ever be great.
Evan Johnson
well none of the DLCs were changed compared to the leaks upon release so yea, I don't expect bethesda to do things differently
but apparently its SUPER fucked up right now

I need a couple of ideas for recipes in a cannibals cookbook.
So far: Bloody Mary; vodka, tato, gourd blossom Protein Shake; blood pack, buffout, iguana bits Blood Sausage; blood sac, human meat Strange Meat Pie; human meat, instamash, razorgrain, dirty water Liver and Beans; human meat, silt beans Glazed Ribs; human meat, nuka cola, sugar bombs
Also, any idea of how to flag certain food items so they allow you to eat while Dark Hunger is in effect?
John Sullivan
if that's true. then why do all armours now take cores that were never in the original games, let alone have slots for them?
according to the lore, the early suits such as the T-45a and b series did, in fact, have fusion cores. but were replaced because they burned through them at an alarming rate.
they were replaced with micro fusion packs built into the armour. so what actually happening is that people are putting standardised fusion cores that were made for commercial use into military hardware that doesn't take them anymore.
Brandon Thomas
Anyone know if the new Vault you make gets attacked?
Why would it have changed? It's one fucking pre-beta release. Wait for some official fucking news as basically all the information you can get from the current build is likely to be changed. You both are forgetting the difference between this leak and the other ones, which is that this one is way the fuck earlier. Bethesda hasn't even put out anything new about it since E3.
Matthew Ross
>why do all armours now take cores For game balance you complete fucking spangle

It's decent for what it is. Game is still incredibly unoptimized for how it looks which is a bigger problem and one Beth can actually fix (unlike the story).
Adrian Cook
>Bloody Mary >no blood
Joseph Jackson
Jokes on you no one is going to and I get to rub it in till the end of time
Thomas Clark
There are suits that exist that have those power sources. I think that what we use are all alpha production models that were first modeled on the T-45's frame before they figured out what it is that they intended to do.
It makes sense, seeing as all of these are in america's heartland. the more advanced mdoels would assuredly be on the warfront.
Kevin Diaz
>have fusion cores
no user, they ran off of Energy/Fusion CELLS Ie, laser weapon ammo (E cells and F cells are the same thing in FO3/4.)
Zachary Ortiz
>Bethesda are so shit at game balancing that they need to retcon not only old lore but some of their own just so the game is only very easy and not piss easy
Bethesdrones have no argument yet again

I solved my freezing New Vegas issue. Turns out me adjusting my graphics card's clock for Gothic 2 ended up changing my clock for every single game. This meant my New Vegas was overclocked and froze all the time.
In other news, I bring you another quality of life improvement mod: Immersive Pickup Sounds. Basically you won't get the "pick trash" sound all the time anymore.
Camden Hughes
That's the only explanation there is for the fusion cores to exist
Jaxon Scott
thanks for that, I'll credit user
it's a cookbook written by a cannibal. not everything has to contain people.

>only reason so where's the pre-war data entry that lets you know in uncertain terms that FC's did not exist? The exoskeletons are the thing that every PA shares in common, and the Exoskeleton is the thing that takes FC's. As such, it's easy to believe that in the CW there were an excess bulk of T-60 Exoskeletons (FO4 exclusive, takes FC's only) and those were used to build the bases. Alternatively because you know, logistics, all power armors shared the same exoskeleton that took FC's and it had just entered production 4 months before the war. So... Speculation it is?

Man, I'm gonna need a replacement voice actor at this point.
Leo Gonzalez
>not canon kek.
Isaac Anderson
que?
Jonathan Perry
One of my voice actors (actually two, but I don't think I can get a replacement for the other one), has basically dropped off the face of the earth. I need someone who can do a manic gay robot. I'd voice it myself but my microphone quality these days is absolutely beyond shit.
Aaron Young
>vera Keyes is mentioned in far harbour
then neither is F4 then dipshit
Hunter Long
No user, since you wanted to only give me a picture I'm going to assume your example is non-canon. Stop being such a twat and tell me how you know FC's did not exist.
Nathaniel Sullivan
>semi canon
kek
sorry to hear it trainsenpai
Caleb Thomas
So yeah, has everybody seen the shitstorm happening around the UFO4P? >community.bethesda.net/thread/53871 Make sure to chime in over there and try to get Bethesda to do something about it.
Elijah Gonzalez
because we don't hear about them, nor see them in any previous fallout games.
Bethesda pulled it out of their asses to make up for the fact that the can't balance games for shit. no, stop sucking Todd's dick and go to bed.
Joseph Stewart
Well I am also asking here. It's only about twenty lines, a small part. That, or if anyone knows any decent quality microphones for cheap.
James Stewart
>semi nope, all canon. FCs and Shaun are confirmed.
>I base my canon and lore off of game mechanics Jesus christ how do you deal with just about any popular media turned into a vidya?
Carter Hill
I'd help you buddy but my mic is shit
Jason Jones
>>I base my canon and lore off of game mechanics
The joke here being that Bethesda already had the game mechanic worked out by the lore but still dismissed it and forced their own garbage.
Camden Price
fusion cores that last a few minutes are just as canon as vault 13 having only 8 beds or moving several hundred miles in the years in between FO1 and FO2 topkek
Lucas Campbell
Heh that sounds like fun, sorry I don't know any VA people though. Just curious, what kind of mic do most of the VAs use on that project? Do they have one in common? Are most in a certain price range?
But Vault 13 doesn't have only 8 beds. That's a limitation of the game so they scaled .
In Skyrim, Falkreaths' massive burial cemetery from centuries of war is like 5 shallow graves.
Joshua Lee
It isn't just him, if you would take a minute to read the post and not be a fuckwit about it. The engine changes break _all_ mods that touch the workshop scripts; you can't even recompile the vanilla script without it happening.
Jaxson Allen
>worked out by the lore How so? Before FO4 PA just required a perk to use, it didn't require any power source or recharge, despite being POWERED ARMOR. I guess obsidishit just decided to ignore established lore too?
>last a few minutes Joke's on you mate, an hour of IRL = 20 hours fallout time. Do FC's drain a little fast for being nuclear fission batteries? Sure. Were they intended to be stuck in power armor? Probably not. Were they developed with that as a possibility? Totally. I'm sorry you don't like lore, maybe you should invest in a pen and notebook and become a writefag.
Carson Jackson
>fallout lore
who gives a shit really. just give me a game with vaults and a wasteland and have at it with whatever shit you want to make up. if they had put effort into building strong lore in the first place I might care, but they didn't so I don't.
Sebastian Diaz
>who gives a shit really
There are people who get ass blasted when you say Vault 13 has 8 beds, so autists only I guess
Thomas Scott
FO's lore is just as strong as any general fantasy, it's just when people see post-modern games they expect everything to be scientifical and empirically proven instead of the weird science Fallout gives you. Seems to confuse a lot of people.
Blake Hughes
>bethesda will never go bankrupt and sbe forced to sell the fallout ip to a competent dev
Jack Sullivan
>make billions >not competent

Nice try Josh
Lincoln Sanchez
What about the second VA?
Asher Thomas
>not even dolphin porn can save this game
Justin Walker
no offence mate, but who could actually do better at making a bethesda game than bethesda?
Chase Sanders
>wake up >shilling is in full force atleast we're getting bumps, right guys?
Sebastian Evans
Try reading up on PA. Someone even posted what it needed.
Obsidian didn't ignore anything. They follow what Bethesda put out.
Xavier James
That's a female part. If you can play a serious sounding young woman, sure. It's another small part. Like I said I could use both me and one of my local pool of talent for that, but my mic is just atrocious right now.
Nicholas Sanders
...Obsidian
Ian Watson
NV was more lifeless than Morrowind in a setting far less interesting, try again
Isaac Phillips
>Bethesda pulled it out of their asses to make up for the fact that the can't balance games for shit.
This.
It's one thing to introduce lore. Another thing is to introduce lore with the intention to nerf the game. The latter is clearly a half-assed retcon for the sake of balance.
Nowhere in any Fallout game is it stated that Vaults canonically have only 8 beds.
Or are you one of those faggots who make up theories about why we don't see any fat people in Fallout 3 and on?
John Lee
didn't need a perk in 1/2/Tactics you had to earn it the hard way and didn't get it in the first hour of playing
the only reason you needed 'training' was because you were able to loot dead brotherhood members in 3 and NV
Anthony White
It is canonically shown in FO1 and FO2 that vault 13 only has 8 beds
Or are you one of those faggots who make up theories about stuff that isn't shown in the game?
Andrew Gonzalez
>try reading up on PA I did, it hasn't been lore accurate since Fallout 1. >powered armor >not powered by anything >give power armor power source >suddenly it's not power armor any more
you guys have some fucked logic.
He's one of those faggots who looks at in-game mechanics and goes "Well, that's lore".
And how powered was the armor in FO1/2/tactics? just as unpowered as it was til 4?
Easton Fisher
the only thing bethesda are good at is the scope and general mechanics of the game they aim to create. Literally everything about their games otherwise is subpar and poorly made.
They are the only devs really putting out big RPG's that are truly sandbox. fallout is certainly one of the only AAA post-apocalypse one. There are some other fantasy titles, but not really anything with the same choose-your-own adventure type theme that elder scrolls have.
Christopher Cox
>In Skyrim, Falkreaths' massive burial cemetery from centuries of war is like 5 shallow graves.
What's funny is that there are ancestral tombs in Morrowind with far more ash vases than that.
>I guess obsidishit just decided to ignore established lore too?
Do you even THE LORE? Power Armor doesn't need recharging.
Isaac Miller
>>powered armor >>not powered by anything See, now you're just lying but this is what I expect of Bethesda fanboys.
Whatever, I tire of this.
Blake Perez
>He's one of those faggots who looks at in-game mechanics and goes "Well, that's lore".
How the fuck are you supposed to look at it?
There are plenty of ways to balance Power Armor. Let's see:
- Fallout 1: make it lategame only and OP as fuck.
HOLY SHIT, HOW DIDN'T WE THINK OF THAT BEFORE.
Andrew Howard
Not everything that is shown in game is canonical, user. That's the reason for gameplay/story segregation.
Blake Reyes
In Fallout 1, Power Armor is the best you can get your hands on, by a long shot. It makes most enemies worthless, one-on-one you will always win, only when you are jumped by multiple enemies you are in trouble, and only because of the mechanics of the isometric RPGs, where a critical hit ignores the armor's huge DT and deals extra damage to boot.
Owen Smith
Nice fanfic
Liam White
would you accept a girly sounding guy?
Nolan Rodriguez
Umm, no. You are shown in FO1 that Vaults have few beds, but if you expect the game to accurate show you every single place, you are officially retarded.
There's simply no comparison between amount of beds in a Vault, and deliberately nerfing Power Armor by introducing a new McGuffin. There just isn't. One is a technological limitation. The other is simply balancing the game and breaking the lore to boot.
Samuel Watson
Umm, no. The game is the canon lore. If the "lore" contradicts gameplay, then the "lore" is wrong.
Kayden Clark
Umm, no. Just because Bethesda's areas exist in a vacuum, needing a magical door portal to move from place to place, doesn't mean the lore works that way.
I understand you are trying to be a smartass, but you are making yourself look like a child.
Nicholas Harris
>Make a movie >Ending shows the good guy killing the bad guy and walking away >Fans of the movie talk about how the bad guy won >Corrected by showing examples from in the movie where the good guy kills the bad guy and walks away >NO YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND IT'S PART OF THE LORE BEHIND THE MOVIE GET ON MY LEVEL PLEB
