Okay, got char conversion working. GC is correct, no crashes or anomalies during 15min of testing. Only issue just as with 4U is that all JP chars are "???" so you'll need to edit your kawaii cat or hunter name perhaps. Now to fix DLC stuff for bonus swag.

- Items up to Rarity 3 will carry over.
- Items, Weapons, Armor, and Palico Equipment that are not carried over will be converted to zenny and added to your total. Some of your zenny will then carry over.
- A portion of your Wycademy Points will carry over.
- Game progress will be reset, but any Training Quests you have cleared will carry over.
- Item Pack status will carry over. You cannot reclaim Item Packs you have already claimed once before, but you can still claim Item Packs that you have downloaded and not yet claimed.
- Wycademy Points, zenny, and Item bonuses from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate cannot be received again. However, Palicoes can be received again.
- Any Custom Panels or Shoutouts will carry over.

Those are what will get reused, if these are enough for you then by all means go ahead

Okay here is the first version of the MHX>MHGen utility. www18.zippyshare.com/v/1orIqC0V/file.html (source included)

1. Get system file from MHX on your PC
2. Run cgen (drag and drop should work too)
3. Find MHGen output file in the "out" folder
4. Import these two files into MHGen

I'm out for dinner now, but I'll check back later. Pls report any issues, havent had a lot of time to check. Currently doesnt transfer DLC, seems more complicated than expected

Use JK savemanager:
>export extData from MHX and MHGEN
>Place SD in your computer, there's a folder named JKSM in your root with the saves you backed up, get the system file from MHX
>Run the cgen thing
>Place both system and system_backup in the MHGEN extData folder in your SD
>Boot JKSM again and import MHGEN data

I fixed global drag n drop support on my end. DLC is indeed a little more complicated than expect thanks to their new shit system that splits every quest into a ton of seperate files which reference each other. Will see if I can come up with something. But essentially it would involve unpacking every DLC quest archive, patch the language reference to the game language you are using (or the more sophisticated approach: just create dupes of the JP files for every Multi5 language) and repack the shit, then rewrite to the DLC partition. ugh
