the first two expansions are continuation's of the RTS game's story, the later ones are self-contained stories new to the MMO

they pretty much all focus on their own shit, vanilla u do random shit, bc u fuck with the legion, wrath u deal with the lich king etc, once you reach the levels required you can move on you dont need to do the story to get into the next xpac content

Expansion are total overhaul and progress the story. Zones correspond to the last expansion that updated them.

Technically it's treated like time travel. Your characters starts with Cataclysm(2011?) then magically goes through 2007 story, then 2008 story and so on.

No, I have them, and none of them even come close to matching the Challenge Mode transmog sets. Maybe if they actually put effort into them matching I'd wear them, because the sets from MoP look amazing for some classes.
