Personally I do feel the game seems to trend somewhat left in its morality and I wouldn't be surprised if Toby does too.

The game treats this as normal and doesn't really draw a lot of attention to it as being unsual. That's the only thing that really indicates a "left leaning" politic. Even that's a stretch.

Also doesn't help that his name means something in Spanish and i'm not sure what his jap name is so its hard to search for art of him.
