Was he alt-right?

Was he alt-right?

He should be /pol/ 's spiritual azn dad imo

No, alt-right is a meme.

Anyone who is actually alt-right never actually holds power.

well hardly anybody outside of the r/the_donald considers themselves 'alt-right'.

/pol/ isn't alt-right.

And LKY and the PAP is basically just Confucianism applied to modern governing institutions and practices, underpinned by a strong sense of 'developmentalism'

The most /pol/-tier thing he did was attempt to implement eugenic policies in the '80s.

...

One of the defining characteristics of the alt-right is pride and preservation of one's race.

>not pol

???????????????

Alt right is something that has only become a thing in the past like year or two.

>never held any power

Jesus what a useless thread

Just because you are proud of your own ethnicity doesn't necessarily make you alt-right lmao.

Plus, LKY wasn't a racialist.

>ethnic pride was invented by a bunch memers in the last year

most people on /pol/ hate the """alt-right""", are ambivalent at best about its leading figures like Milo Yiannopoulos, and don't really identify with that 'movemen't.

/pol/ is mostly National Socialists, fascists, and ultra-nationalists.

As for LKY he was just a classic Chinese chauvinist. Which was necessary, given that Malays are retarded.

I was more so referring to your comment on pol not being alt right.

In your mind what does the alt right represent? As in what values do you associate them with.

Different guy sorry.

Maybe it's me and I'm out of touch here, but what does the alt right represent to you?

As far as my understanding went the alt right was the amalgamation of nationalists, libertarians, and national socialists.

I also never said ethnic pride and the alt right were the same thing, just that it was a defining characteristic of the alt right, which only gained prominence recently.

>what does the alt right represent to you?

An invented term with no substance designed to box all people with nationalist sentiments into a corner so they can more easily essentialised and demonised

>/pol/'s victim mentality arises

I'd consider myself nationalist/libertarian, and would embrace the term willingly. The media is fighting a losing battle regardless with the butt blasting trump keeps giving them.

These terms have lost all meaning recently though. You get shit like "libertarian socialists" who see no irony in labelling themselves as such.

>An invented term with no substance designed to box all people with nationalist sentiments into a corner so they can more easily essentialised and demonised
This might seem reasonable, until you realize that they invented the term for themselves and openly glorify being a card carrying member.

Now if we simply called them Nationalist Fascists, then yes it would be demonizing, but they seem to be happy enough admitting it firsthand.

No senpai, nothing about him screams alt-right

You know they gave that name themselves right?

/pol/ is probably one of the two or three biggest reasons the Alt Right even exists.

>You know they gave that name themselves right?
No they didn't

Richard Spencer (a white nationalist) used it as the name of his blog, and then the media ran with it as a title for basically any and all nationalists, and media outlets branded /pol/ representative of the alt-right

The only real substantive meaning of 'alt-right' is under 30s who support Donald Trump

That doesn't mean they are a part of it

In the context of Singapore non-PAP right-wingers would be alt-right

Alt right = national (authoritarian) capitalists

So shit like

>high taxes, but they go to things like roads that assist corporations (circulation of currency)
>international goals target economic performance for yourself

Uh no thats neo nazis. Hitler was natcap, but being alt right doesnt make you a neo nazi.

So what's the difference between right and al-right?

>right wing
Conservatives, libcaps, natcaps

>left wing
Natsocs, neolibs

The religious right/GOP in America is the right most people think of.
The alt-right is the alternative to the religious right, ie everything else - libertarian, nationalist, fascist, nazi, monarchist, kekist, ancap. The only thing uniting them to the "Right" is their rejection of egalitarianism, in varying degrees.

>gutter frogs
Hilarious desu senpai. I make sure theres no drainage on my back gutter and I fill it with stuff to create my little frog army.

Milo isn't even alt-right, he's even admitted such.

No they only differ from the normal right bwcause repubs usually are libcaps and conservatives. Its usually the dems pushing for more public conpanies/regulation and repubs fighting it. Natcaps are pro market regulation and also pro business.

Thats probably a better description than what happens irl, but you get the gist.

Praise the Obscure Croak.
