There's a cap on how much MP you can gain naturally, but not on how much total MP you can have including items.

I tried to tell him to pick a whip of venom in D:2 (he was training M&F on top) and to pump Dex rather than Str but he didn't falter even for a second. Only good decisions he took were putting a hat on and switching his hide for leather. I thought the MiBe extreme otabber was a meme

If you ever get strength drained you'll be super slowed and I think unable to fight for a while. So yeah it's not particularly safe.

Having 1 strength by itself is perfectly fine though.

If you get strength drained from any source for even 1 point, or you get zapped with a level of weak mut you will get the collapsing status effect.

-tele on ring/weapon is ok because you can remove it in half a turn

Weight is stupid, boring, and only appeals to realism fags.
The only games where weight is given any actual consideration to make it factor into gameplay in an interesting way are games where weapon weight affects combat stats a la Sil. And even then, non-weapons just have weight as a junky stat.

With 104 slots for items you may as well have weight be the only limiting factor and let players carry whatever number of items they can lift since 99% of characters won't ever reach the number cap before they reach the weight cap.

Ring randarts are a lot better in 5.0, so in theory it should be good.
