That's what I did. So far so good but testing on a new game means I wont be able to check all of the weapons since some of them wont spawn until much later in the game.

The only weird thing is that I have Modern Firearms mod installed, and I got some random ammo (outside of what the game usually has) in the game (like 7.62mm ammo) that I looted from corpse. Is this part of the modern firearms mod?

I do not have the new ammo mod (CALIBER?) installed.

That function in xedit works fine, but afaik it doesn't actually do anything - you have to go in and merge conflicts by hand. Which is fine for the most part, but it could get tedious if you have a lot of conflicts.
I used it to make a couple of merged patches a good while ago, that I am still using.
Just as an aside, if you haven't updated xedit in a while, you should do it now - there was a recent bug that caused any altered NPCs to have disfigured faces because xedit was unintentionally fooling with the face morph data.

I worded it wrong, I'm saying the Vault is a fitting customisable base for an Institute character, since you can perform inhuman experiments on people with no remorse.

Yeah I'm hoping for a weapon collection or something. Last we have are the DKS sniper rifle, then a couple of revolvers (1851 revolver? and colt python).

About the only Millenia mod I have is the reskin of the shotgun from last year.

Probably because, based on the leaked version, it is still broken as hell and they are taking some time to fix it a bit. Or, more likely, Bethesda will fix absolutely nothing, wait as long as possible, and then give us something completely unusable

When you say xedit, is it the same thing as FO4Edit or is this a totally different tool?

I tried creating the FO4 merged patch once thru the function and it seems to clean all the conflicts, so thats why just wondering if it works fine. No problem with the faces neither.

I should look at the update anyway, in case you mean xedit = fo4edit.
