You get stuck because they added momentum to the archwings now. So going full speed and trying to maneuver down will still cause you to move forward because of the momentum.

I use dark dagger for Ash - syndicate proc is AOE viral proc and energy, covert lethality (min rank), Bodycount, fury and quickening, life strike for channeled life restore during finishers on his three.

Mod ash with at least stretch, 4 scales well up to lvl 100 with minimal investment. I don't think I've forma'd him once.

Also, the Attica with Thunderbolt was my main weapon when I first started. It just exploded everything with the rapid-fire explosions. I kept it, uh, a lot longer than I should have.
