Customization is kinda weak, and gear progression is gated behind raids and weekly limits.
There's lots of gear to dress up your characters in.
Raids are challenging to a degree. The harder part is finding seven other competent players.
Good. PvP sucks.
You'll find lots of catsluts and semen demons here.
Communities differ between servers. Get in a good one and you're set.
Healers are recommended to DPS during times when you don't have to heal. Bear this in mind if you're going to main a healer in this game.
Patches last for 3 months on average, and the hardest endgame raids last for 6 months.
Combat invovles a "slow" GCD offset by a fair number of oGCD commands, and plenty of moves have good animations.

I play on Hyperion, there's several linkshells I'm a part of, mainly my FFXI linkshell, some crafting linkshells. My FC, I've raided with the same people since 2.0. Far and away from all you gay fagstains.
